What size rope needed???

I getting ready to write my Red Seal and one of the question we got to get ready is What size rope is needed to tie off a broken pole? 1/2 5/8 3/8 7/8

I would think it would depend on how much weight the pole has on it..Or what size wire it is holding up. But you can never go wrong with over rigging.

I would use red, or maybe yellow. Poly, hemp or maybe nylon.

That is rather an inane question. Certainly not put up by a Lineman. What is Red Seal? Canadian version of Journeyman maybe?

I googled it. It's sort of an innerprovencial exam connected with their apprenticeship I think.
