Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts!!!

Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
Incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
Into the Program would be deductible from
Their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the
Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
General operating fund, and therefore, would
Only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
Government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees
Would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
Now receiving a Social Security check every month --
And then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
The money we paid to the Federal government to 'put
Away' -- you may be interested in the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
Independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the
General fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
Controlled House and Senate..

------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
Deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving
Annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That's right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
Began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
Even though they never paid a dime into it!

-------------- -------------------------- ----------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
Awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
Evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
Sure of what isn't so.

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
-Thomas Jefferson

Nicely said!

I'm lookin' after myself. The only tax money I grudge handing over is the stuff that gets squandered on work-shy parasites and the governments banking and law buddies. (Which is currently about 200% of it.)

You guys just post a bunch of lies and expect everyone to believe them.

This thing is just a bull shit story like the number of servicepeople killed during various administrations. It usually takes about 5 minutes to look it up and see it's all bull shit. Why do crap like this? Kinda like Bush and his lies about John McCain in the 2000 election. I don't know how McCain can stand to be in the same room with that Mother.

Like someone said. It's about par for the Republicans and the Democrats to shaft the working man. It's just that now and then the Democrats will toss the workers a crumb. Republicans never do except accidently.

I really think Politics and Religion ought to be banned on this web. All you ever hear is BS and lies concerning these subjects.

I do think most of the linework subjects are pretty truthful.

If all you read are BS and lies, you are ignorant and uninformed. Is there some of it here? Hell yes, from both sides. But don't cry like a little boy that doesn't get choosen for the team. The best way to fight BS and lies is with truth.

You guys present similar logic to the Bush admin. If you don't believe everthing I say and don't believe in WMD's, attacking Iraq etc, then you're not loyal Americans. That is a cop out.

You present about 10 or 12 talking points and if a couple of them are true and the rest lies and if somebody questions them, then they are whiners.

Although I favor Democrats I don't agree with everything they say and do. All these politicians do enough lying that I don't believe either side usually. I just don't believe in following blindly every thing they suggest.

Your McCain is going to have plenty of problems. They're already on his ass about that wacko minister in Texas (I believe), whose endorsement he got. That guy is as nutty as Rev. Wright. Maybe they'll cancel each other out.

I do think politics and religion are bad subjects for most people to debate. I don't mind anybodies brand of either, it's just when they try to impose them on me that I get irritated. I have worked with plenty of people who had strong opinions on both subjects, but they never tried to impose them on their fellow workers.

I'm sure Mr. Bait Breath that you have a lot of influence with Byron and he would listen to your dumb ass. You're pretty impressive overall.

I think you will find that most of us Republicans do not consider John McCain "our guy". He will probably be the lesser of 2 evils in this election. He is the Republican nominee because of Democrats voting for him in the primaries just like Republicans are doing now to keep chaos alive in the Democrat race.

Is the minister from Texas John Mccains minister? Is he someone John Mccain invited then disinvited to be associated with his campain. Is the minister from Texas someone that baptized his kids?

When will people like you ever understand, it wasn't just the current administration that claimed there were WMDs? You don't need SNOPES to check out all the other world leaders that believed it from their intelligence community.

I need it to keep up with the BS you Repubs keep putting out as fact?

As far as what other countries leaders thought intelligence community. I don't have that kind of info on hand. I could research it. Did you?

Well all you arm chair experts please refute these statements made that democrats did certain things. We not all stupid out here. Lots of us go buy facts. One side laid out what he calls facts and the other side calls bullshit. Lets see your facts cause I can not be swayed by calling bullshit. No wonder the Dem party has had problems. If you want my vote you gotta do better than that.

For the Republicans I would think McCain would be a great choice. I don't understand the distain some seem to have for him. I believe the far right doesn't like him because he's not 100% in agreement with them. They don't seem to realize that there are some people of their party who dare differ from them. They are bullies.

The minister from Texas who recently endorsed McCain is a crackpot and a bigot. McCain would have been wise to have refuted his endorsement. A few years ago McCain disrespected Jerry Falwell and then not long before Falwell died damned if he didn't except Falwell's blessings. Mercy.

I don't even know what church McCain attends and could care less but as far as babtizing I think I would rather have the Rev. Wright babtize my kids than a hell of lot of these Catholic priest, I keep reading and hearing about.

When will people like you understand that the evidence of WMD's was all a hoax? It's been laid out many times in all kinds of publications.

Maybe bait breath can explain it to you. Heh, heh, heh.

Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

They believed in WMDs. France & Spain agreed they were there, remember there was quite a list of UN Sanctions because of the belief. Not that the UN is much to be taken seriously. I'm sure you have something "cutting edge" to say about those countries.

As far as the "coalition" countries just check and see the number of troops they sent. Just a token amount. I don't think all the coalition troops combined would have equalled ours.

As far as publications refuting the WMD's I saw numerous TV programs and read news articles about the same subject in U.S. News and World Reports, Time and similar magazines.

You can google the coalition numbers on non-US troops and it will give you all kinds of stats. A lot of the countries mentioned have withdrawn their troops. Have a look.

People are still actually counting on Social Security? lol Since the day I started workin I relized the system is doomed and the chances of it being around let alone benificial to me when I need it are slim to none. I have my choosen party but will say that neither care for the workin man. The only person thats gonna care for me and mines is myself. Maybe they will get it turned around maybe they won't. Hell I might be able to afford an extra pack of smokes with my SS check when I collect if its big enough.

Around here they sure are counting on it. Lord if they didn't have that ......
Of course people around here would just grow a garden and put in a wood stove

Isn't it way too hot for a Kentucky boy in AZ
Sure is pretty around here now. All the bushes and trees with all their color
