So what do you gents/gals drive?
I have a little Isuzu 1982 I-Mark It's fun to drive and it gets about 38 MPG (When it was new it got 45 MPG) I'm trying to coax it back up to new specs. It is a diesel. 4 door. I also have a 98 caravan and a 1995 4x4 Rodeo. I look forward to my new Toyota Hilux 4x4 diesel in a few months. Nothing fancy and nothing fast or "Cool" (although I get offers on my I-mark several times a month)

I'm not sure what this car is, but it seems to have handling problems.

I drive what I want to drive. The Caravan is for hauling the dogs. The car is a fun toy that I am restoring. The Rodeo is really my wifes but I do drive it some. The Toyota Hilux is not sold in the USA. I will be using it overseas on my next trip. You need to also understand that there are many foriegn cars manufacturers who assemble their cars here in the good old USA. Regardless of the brand here or in Canada, Many of the parts are madein foreign countries and shipped to the factory for assembly. I am about tired of your ass CL. You have no sense of humor and all you can do is bash the USA. You actually beleive the world revolves around what you like and beleive. News flash buddy you ain't seen but a small miniscule part of this planet. Although you are positive your ignorant rants are true, you have yet to see the truth.
As for me being non-union. Well butt head, I was but there are no unions in the countries I work in. A north American union is a different monster than what the folks in most countries call unions. However if you checked you would find I was a member of Local 969 IBEW. Butt then you would not know you have your head so far in the sand that you can't really allow your self to be educated. Ignorance is bliss they say. Stay blissfull CL

Wife and I are looking to get a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and are interested in the diesel egine. The milage is advertised to be really good with a good towing package. I'm a little worried about the deisel rattle, though, and cold weather starts
Diesel isn't the monster it used to be. A very high percentage of UK cars are diesel because it is much more efficient than petrol/gasoline and at our prices of $2 a litre that's a big saving. Both the design of the engines and the quality of the fuel have evolved greatly.
I have a Ford Transit diesel van and it's very reliable even in extremely cold weather.

Thanks! Those times are with fuel cells, tools boxes and goosenecks in the back. The '06 is pretty much all electronic, but the '97 is all mechanical. The '97 has just under $100K in the driveline.
How much do these rigs weigh? I haven't been to the drags in years but a full size truck in the 11's is pretty kool!
