How about rootin' for my Florida Gators today! :D FL vs. LSU
I've been reading and it seems like most are giving Florida atleast 3 points above. I hope it's right, don't get me wrong. LSU is a dag gum good opponent. And has been for years. But, someone is seeing something I'm not. But, I hope they are right!
Anyway, bets on the score tonight. Those that are close to the final score, get a Lineman Print from me. Koga is not going to be around---I wish I had thought of this before, but he will enjoy it no matter.................even if he loses this year! :D
Have at it gents! OR GALS! Give me a predicted score.....either way. It has to be posted before the game starts. I think it's at 8pm tonight.

First off, this game is a long shot from being over! I know what Les can do. Although our Gators are looking good in the Swamp, it's a long way from being over.

LOL! Well, I can remember being 14 yrs old and going to my very first Gator Game. I think it was homecoming. I was in awe. In awe by it all! Then was when I KNEW what it was all about!
My father would actually get my brother and I tickets at the gate from strangers selling them. But, when you were a Gator fan, at a Gator game, you weren't a stranger....still aren't! Actually, you have known them your whole life! LOL! It's crazy.
Anyway, I can remember the Gators not being so great or well known team back then. Seriously. However, it was like we were ALWAYS great! Isn't that a hoot!??!!
So, when they sing, "It's great to be a Floirida Gator." I think to myself, "It was great when we weren't so great."
However, I like being pretty good....I won't lie! :D
watching the games today ? My tigers are playin the bulldogs and it looks like its gonna be a good game.

the defense woke up. Now lets put 7 more up before the half and then ....
Hope they come out ready to kick some dog butt. Maybe the interception threw his rythm off a little.
The interception was a big mistake should have went short or kept it on the ground. I hope Lee is learning !

the "on call" week over and that sorry defensive game I watched part of, I'm glad its over. Geezzz did that suck or what ? Why didn't LSU get a good def coach and cord to replace what we lost is beyond me. But they obviously went to the discount bin for what they got. i have been a gators fan since i was a little guy... however growing up in Chicago, makes you kind of the odd ball during college football.... Gators National champs and tebow heisman #2......

I grew up with two younger brothers. If I wanted to play, I had to play what they wanted to play. My mother was always clued to the tv during Gator games. So, all I ever remember was all of us watching all the college football games. Not many girls my age were spending their Saturdays watching college football games. I can even remember if I had a date they had to stay and watch football at my house with me or I just wouldn't have a date! LOL!
That's loving the game. Heh.
The Tide is still hanging in there, especially when people said we couldnt make it this far. Cant wait for the LSU game in alittle over a week it should be a good one. Nothing like gameday and watching Bama/LSU in HD:cool:

ok, i see texas tech losing either this week or next, and penn state running the table. Gators run the table and beat bama in the sec ship. Gators move to number 2 and play Penn state, gators win 49 to 17.....

yea and just like Ohio State, the teams from the north are cupcakes... They have no real competiton, unlike the SEC where Vanderbilt could put up a good game against Penn State. Trust me on this if Penn State had to play, Georgia, LSU, Ol Miss, Alabama, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Florida. How many of those games do you think they would win??? 2 or 3??

Really....be careful what you wish for. Well, I sincerely hope we have more going in playing 'Bama this shot around than in 2005. At least I hope so.
I've watched 'Bama play a few games this year and I personally think we have a good shot at it. If 'Bama walks all over us this time, then we have no right being there.

I love how nobody gives us much of a chance against Florida. We've heard the same talk by the talking heads against Clemson, Georgia, and now LSU. We'll probably be #1 (if we stay undefeated till December 6th) and be an underdog to UF the media wants us to lose BAD! I guess since we dont throw the ball 50 times a game and we are not from a major city they think we do not deserve the ranking. We've only trailed for about 14 minutes and 50 seconds the WHOLE YEAR. Anyone that plays us will have their hands full.
Nothing like seeing Bama and UF in the SEC title game yet AGAIN. Proves both teams will be near the top in the SEC for as long as the conference lasts.
Saban just keeps pulling top ranked kids in and we'll be near the top for years to come. Get ready to see this every year as long as Saban as here.

I seriously doubt we lose by 4 scores to UF. We might not make the title game, but UF wont have no cakewalk over us. Reminds me of 1992, when everyone said we'd get killed by Miami and we walked the dog on them. We killed the Heisman Trophy winners career in that game. We came in, didnt talk no trash, and kicked ass. Sounds very familiar to this year. Nobody giving us a chance, we cant beat UF or any other top team, etc.

Hey, im not saying UF will walk all over bama but everyone is starting to notice who the best team in College actually is. Bama is a good team and will be a good team for years to come but honestly this is the Gators year, and i would def be surprised if they dont make it to the BCS.....
UF has yet to beat the best team in college football right now, so they are still not the best. UF will go to a BCS bowl more than likely regardless of the outcome of the SECCG.
But I promise you it wont be no blowout. "IF" UF beats Bama, it wont be more than 7 points. But we're used to being told we are not the best team, all the while we are undefeated in the SEC while UF couldnt beat OM at home.
We are much better than anyone gives us credit for. We can play with ANYONE in the nation. Our offensive and defensive lines are the best in the nation.

If by best team in college football right now you mean bama then you pay to close attention to the BCS! Pull yalls head out of that ass yall call the SEC and come witness some real football in the big 12 south!
As usual it will be one of those teams playing for it all!
Some of that said tongue in cheek some not! . . . . . But you have to admitt Big 12 south is stacked this year!!!!
No doubt it will more than likely be SEC winner vs. Big12 South winner for all the marbles. Texas Tech doesnt scare me nowhere as bad as OU. I think TT will lose in Norman in less than 2 weeks from now. Texas is dangerous with McCoy, but a lack of a running game will hurt them. OU seems to be the best overall with defense and offense out of the 3.

That was the only time we played them and it was 13-10 with a very anemic offense and a good defense we shut them down.

@Florida (Lost 28-13 with another bad offense) 2006
H-Florida (Won 31-3) 2005
We gave Urban Meyer his worst spanking he has ever had while at Florida.
Last time we played OU we lost @OU 37-27 (2003, Franchione's last year at Bama) and in 2004 we lost to OU at home 20-13 in only Mike Shula's 2nd ballgame. So I like our chances there too.
Bama is alot better than people will give them credit for. I'll take Jim McElwain's boring style of football (our OC) anyday when we've only played behind for less than 15 minutes all year (I'm not sure any other top team can say that). I hope we rain on everyone's parade and you see us in Miami.

But you have to remember we were told we couldnt stop Clemson's offense with Davis and Spiller, or Knoshown Moreno who we shut down as well. UF would have to throw alot to beat Bama. As LSU found out, that can be dangerous to do as well.

I havent compared Lee to Tebow not once.
LSU will ALWAYS play Bama tougher than they do UF. We're a bigger rival and add the Saban factor and it being his first trip BACK to BR then yes the game was going to be close. If UF played in Death Valley they wouldnt have put up 51 either.

We've faced plenty of other 4.5 backs so I dont think the tenth will affect us as much as you think.

Knowshown Moreno (future NFL'er) UGA-9 carries 34 yards
Arian Foster-UT-6 carries 21 yards
So I'd say we've faced our fair share of great RB's and we CAN stop the run. Spiller is one of the fastest RB's in the nation, and Moreno was supposed to have the Heisman before the season even started. We havent allowed a 100 yard rusher all year long. Thats saying something in the SEC.
So its safe to say UF WILL NOT run away with this game.

Well, we have two more games and one of them is a rival and it's in Tallahassee. I hope we don't let our guards down on THAT game...for heaven's sake NOT that game! :D
I personally think we have a great chance at it. I've never seen us play so well. It's like a "wow" factor for me. But, Alabama had the chance to get the score high last night.
I'm sure 'Bama will be watching our next two games.....

To be honest, I don't either. But, then again...I keep waiting for the Gators to mess up! :D Not that I'm not positive, I am. It's just that well, I hate to get too overconfident. And maybe I'm a little to bias.
Did you know that the news commentators said that FL would be intimidated by yesterdays game because of Steve? I thought, "What???? None of these young men have ever played under Steve's coaching. Why would they be intimidated? And where did that thought ever come from???"
That's what I mean. Most are saying Alabama has it. It's okay with me, I hope they keep downplaying FL and making Alabama that huge mountain to take. David and Goliath? Fine with me. :D

I makes me sick, to see that texas is ahead of FL right now in the BCS.
Same here, UF deserves to be higher than Texas IMHO. But I got a bad feeling OU might jump Texas and Florida if they romp Texas Tech (which could be true).

Yeah. We will miss out unless it happens like it did 2 yrs ago. But, I hate making predictions.......until we finish all the games left to play! Anything can happen in college football. And that's one of the reasons I love it so! :D
Have you seen the Heisman line up lately? I like to watch how they line'em up. No, I honestly don't think Tebow has a chance this year, but it's nice to know he is in there.
Another thing that amuses me, when you are on "top" of your game, everyone is knocking you down----they knock down Tebow alot. You know what I mean. I'm sure you have heard alot about 'Bama.

Only just a tad under 16,000 are alotted for each school, and the other 32,000 is corporate and the ones you see on eBay. I think only 500 Bama students got tickets and we didnt even get the chance to get tickets, and we've had season tickets since 94!!!!! Either way, lets get it on! There is NOTHING like SEC football!!

Yep, they cant hang with us:D We've proved that. Although I think the last BigTen team we faced was Michigan in 2000 at the Orange Bowl I think and they beat us 35-34 in OT. Tom Brady was the QB on that team. That was the same year we beat UF both times we beat them (in the Swamp, and at the SEC title game) and was the only team at the time to EVER beat Spurrier twice in one season.
I see UF put up 70 on the Citadel today. Thats just unfair:D Beat FSU for us next week. I honestly want both teams to win out to the SEC title game. Could be the best one ever (1992 was probably the best one, where we beat UF 28-21 on an late interception for a TD and we went on to kill Miami 34-13 in the Sugar Bowl for the National Title)

Yeah, I know "WAR EAGLE!!!" (Mad flying birds) My daughter had a classmate and close friend that went Auburn instead of UF. He would come and stay with her when they played and she would go and stay with him when the Gators played Auburn.
One year, she was the hero to all of his buddies by knowing a guy (her boss's former classmate) who owned a well known pub there. They had the whole back room reserved for them. She walks in and they ask, "Are you Myssi, by chance?" And she says yes. "Come back here we have the whole back room set up for you and your friends." She is wearing a Gator shirt and about 10 others are following her wearing Auburn shirts. I'm sure that was a riot. :D

Yeah, should be a really good game! Now all we have is our rivalry game coming up next Saturday against FSU. I told my boss (a diehard FSU fan) that I'd be wearing my "Beat FSU" button all three days this week. :D
We have to beat them, we just have to! No ifs, buts, or maybes.....it's gotta happen.

about Bama playin great ball. I just have a problem with thier consistency. I think they at times have played just enough to win. Just haven't seen the killer instinct if you will that the Gators have shown . Yep I know they are undefeated but I think at times they have struggled to get there when they shouldn't have. But, is the contraversy about who is big or hot on their game at the end of the season? Or who beat who when they played them?

Texas beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma beat Texas Tech. Texas Tech beat Texas.
Just out of curiosity, who do you think should be eliminated and why?
They all have lost, which proves they can all have a bad game. So here we have to look at the big picture , team by team. Tech has not played to the level consistently. So who has the better OFF and DEF between OU and Texas. MMMmmm ? I would like to see my original prediction of Texas make it. But I really can't justify it. Damn its a tough question. I know you arent gonna let me off on this so ..... I think Texas has the psycological advantage. So the argument is they aren't better because of a past win , it just gives them that small ever present psych advantage. Does that make sense ? If they were to play again which I just realized they wont . So now that we know who is, my BS didn't mean squat. Now the question as I just shake my head is, Missouri ? You have got to be kidding right ?

Well Clemson was #9 when we played them, Georgia was #3 when we played, and LSU was 16th. UF is rated 4th. Clemson was at a neutral site, Georgia and LSU both on the road. 2 of the 3 were supposed to be "losses" to Bama but yet we keep on winning.

I really dont think you guys watch all the games.... I watch the SEC games and I watch the big 12 games. Its completly obvious that there is more talent in the SEC. Look im from the Midwest but grew up a gator.....I think OU and UF are hands down the 2 best teams... I know bama is gonna be tough, i dont like how no one is giving them a chance..... You obviously didnt watch any of those games. UK wasnt even close until we played a prevent and let them drive to scored down 10 with 40 seconds left. We were never in risk of getting beat in that game.

Nope no excuses I dont really think one man will make the differance, if you win good for you, I think OU really beat Texas due to some game deciding calls. Like I proved earlier OU's schedule is not as hard as you claim with the pansies they've played. Hell we would look good against Chattanooga for God's sake! The Big12 and SEC is down this year no doubt. And why are you trying to make OU look better by saying they've played more top 14 teams? Last I checked, they ranked out to 25, not 14.
You're right, it is all in good fun. But your bias saying Bama does not deserve to be #1 is just crazy. We're the ONLY TEAM in a BCS CONFERENCE that is UNDEFEATED. If you think that only puts us one spot above Boise then you are REALLY crazy! But that could be giving us props, as Boise BEAT YOU the last time you played.
I really enjoyed our last 2 games against OU. We were also told then we had no chance and almost beat OU both times with near death penalty sanctions. 20-13 against a team that had a head coach that was only in his 2nd game. So no, I'm not really scared of UF or OU win or lose. Our defense is going to keep us in ANY BALLGAME. If OU keeps giving up 40 points they will be beat. Whether thats against Bama or UF.

I truly respect OU and hope if we win we do play them. Two of college footballs overall greatest programs playing for a BCS title in 08.
And to cowboy who said the NCAA loves Bama how you figure??? They have NOTHING to do with the rankings. If the NCAA loved us so much, how in the hell did they take it easy on us when they almsot levied near "death penalty" sanctions on us with no evidence? They had a secret witness (Phil Fulmer, ex UT coach) who gave nothing but hear-say and we were convicted on that alone. We were forced to forfeit games because a CB signed on freaking table napkin and an agent claimed that was a contract for crying out loud! So I'd hardly say they love seeing us here. Saban has already been reported for "supposed" cheating but yet nobody has proof. We are here to stay, no matter who likes it or not....
I'm just ready for the SEC title game. Too bad the Big12 game wont be good as OU will blow out a very bad Mizzou team who wont hold them under 50. The Big12 North is horrible!
And on the schedule yes ours is not as great as OU's as auBARN, lswho, and UGA all underperformed this year.
Here's some facts:
Bama's opponents records: (66-76) 6 bowl teams faced (77-77) w/UF and 7 bowl eligible teams faced
OU's opponents records: (80-63) 7 bowl teams faced (89-66) w/Mizzou and 8 bowl eligible teams faced
UF's opponents records: (79-65) 9 bowl teams faced (91-65) w/Bama and 10 bowl eligible teams faced
Once again thats only 1 more bowl team and I've already talked about the ranked team ordeal. You can go back and say TT was ranked #2 and such and such time but I cant? That throws your argument out there. And how can you discount UF's schedule as well if you say Bama's is pitiful? We've played most of the same teams and like us the best team they faced only have 9 wins this year. If you say Bama's schedule is weak, then so if UF's.
We only faced 3 teams with 8 losses or more. OU faced 4 teams with 8 or more losses with 2 of them having 11!
Fact is both conferences are down this year other than the "top" teams. Texas, OU, UF, and Bama are the only teams with a shot at a National Title. Texas Tech is all hype as is UGA and Oklahoma St and LSU. TT proved that with OU and almost a horrible Baylor team this week, UGA with Georgia Tech, and LSU with about anyone. Big12 is all offense, SEC is all defense. We are the only team out of the top 4 I mentioned that does not pile up points every week. Our back up QB and throwing for a TD with 2:49 in THE 4TH QUARTER. Bradford was the only QB playing in a blowout that atleast attempted a pass so that should tell you why we dont "blow" teams out.
I give OU all the love in the world. I think they are the best team in the Big12. They did screw themselves and almost cost themselves a chance at the title by choking against Texas. I've always rooted for OU in games where they didnt play Bama. I always will. I like Bob Stoops. I like his fire and he's alot like Saban. Can recruit and will chew ass out no matter if its a blowout or a close game. Both are very intense. Both are accused to cheating all the time because they recruit so well. So dont think I'm discounting OU as being a GREAT team because they ARE. But to say Bama IS NOT would be as crazy as saying OU is not either. We deserve just as much respect as anyone else in the nation. Just like our last title in 1992 we were told we couldnt beat Miami and stomped them in the title game. Also beat UF in the 1st ever SEC title game that year as well. We didnt blow teams out then either and people thought we were "weak" because of it. We had a power running game with the best defense in the nation. Sound familiar???

The Big12 and SEC is down this year no doubt. And why are you trying to make OU look better by saying they've played more top 14 teams? Last I checked, they ranked out to 25, not 14.
You're right, it is all in good fun. But your bias saying Bama does not deserve to be #1 is just crazy. We're the ONLY TEAM in a BCS CONFERENCE that is UNDEFEATED. If you think that only puts us one spot above Boise then you are REALLY crazy! But that could be giving us props, as Boise BEAT YOU the last time you played.

Well, we haven't beaten them yet. After a week looking at Bama and what all they are saying about them, it might be a tough game. Who knows until they start playing. I just hope our Gators want it "really, really" bad! :D
Looking back at this year, I saw alot of good teams. And there were alot of them that I thought had the potenial to really go far, and just didn't quite make it.
I'm usually one to be loyal to SEC, I still am. However, I've actually took notice with other teams outside of our division this year. Usually I don't do that unless the Gators aren't on their game. Yep, I've even broaden my scope outside of the Swamp this year. :D

Thats my only gripe. We got down in the 4th and it seemed the OC freaked out and we tried to throw too much and got away from what we do best. Then Wilson makes his great turnover there at the end like we're used to see him do. Congrats to UF and Bama as we are 12-1 and Sugar Bowl bound more than likely. Oh I wasnt saying the game was badly called, I just didnt like seeing #63 kick the player on that last play. When Tebow snapped the ball he kneeled and one of our D-Linemen dove straight down (he didnt touch Tebow or anyone else, he was just swiping at the ball). For some reason #63 who wasnt even the man to block our D-Lineman that was down stepped up and soccer kicked him in the high chest/neck/head area. The ref seen it, threw the flag then picked it up because both teams ran on the field because they thought it was over. There should have been an untimed down and he should have been ejected. Wouldnt have affected the game any, but there is no place for that IMHO. I didnt see it at first my friend did, and when they showed the replay it was obvious. Other than that the game was called great and it was a great game. We had the lead going into the 4th and just couldnt hold on. Those two huge penalties on two 3rd down plays killed us (the facemask and the horsecollar). If we would have stopped them there it could have been 27-20 with us having the ball. Instead it was 31-20 and we were done then.
Great game and it wont be the last time we meet in Atlanta! Thats for sure!

All i have to say is tebow should win it again, he prob wont just because of alot of voters will only look at stats. Where tebow made the promise and took the team on his sholders the last 8 games of the season was remarkable. He played 10 of the top 49 defenses in the country where Bradford only played 1 out of the top 49. Congrats to OU, and we look forward to one of the best BCS games in a long time. I think its going to be a low scoring game like the baba uf game.

Yep, well to be honest its either going to be a close game or a one sided victory. I know the gators have a top 10 defense but not sure about OU. Bama was ranked 3rd best defense in the country and tebow handled them himself so with harvin back in the mix i think OU might have their hands full.
Yep UF's defense is never talked about but they proved well the other night. We still got like 160 something rushing yards and they were tough but I still believe a power game can beat them, but OU doesnt have a power game. Unlike huskie, I think this will be a shootout. Both teams can score at will and it a matter of seconds instead of minutes.

Bradford doesnt scare me honestly, hes got a good core or wr's but he is not quick outside of the pocket and thats where our defense will make you throw turnovers. On to the heisman, i have a gut feeling that tebow gets it again for taking the team to the bcs after losing to ol miss.

look i agree his numbers are much better,but look at the defenses he got his numbers on??? THe only reason they were good teams is because they had offenses that could keep up with OU. Unlike Bradford and OU Tebow and the gators played some extremly tough defenses and still managed to only throw 2 int's and his numbers are good. But the kicker is he took his team on his sholders and willed them to the bcs, Bradford was just consistent. He wasnt anything special, just a solid qb putting up good numbers, where tebow was special by promising on live tv that he would get them to the bcs and would play harder than anyone else ever has...etc.. anyway i think its going to be a close call and if voters dont only look at the numbers i think tebow will get it again.

The award goes to the best college player this season, and bradford put up impressive numbers against weak defenses. Just think of what tebows numbers would have been if he didnt spread out the ball as much as he did. Look at where he would get the ball because of his good defense. Look i know im a gator fan, and even if i wasnt, i watched bradford and tebow play, and i can honestly tell you that Bradford has a better WR core, with a much stronger rb. He shouldnt have to have a presser to win the Heisman. Bradford has done his talking on the field. Even during his lone loss he went for 387 yards and 5 TD's. That says enough to me. He has 53 total TD's this year, 4,464 passing yards and 48 TD and 6 INT in 442 attempts on a 12-1 BCS team. He didnt need to cry in front of everyone on t.v. to grab attention, he went out the next game and put up 468 yards and 3 TD's that started the streak that has scored more points in a season than any other college ever has.
That to me screams Heisman.

Then again......I know many Gator Haters will see it all differently. Florida's popularity is not very well received by commentators and their competitors. It's a proven fact. They never have been and I don't see it changing. You either don't give crap about them one way or the other, or you hate them with all your might.
I will tell you guys this............I have more respect for a die hard fan for any team we meet up against than I do for someone that pulls for any team that is against Florida. In other words, someone that can't even choose a team and stick with it. But, then again..........THAT is NOT a college football fan, is it?

I'm sure a BUNCH of Heisman voters feel the same way. All of Tebow's stats combined doesnt touch Bradford.
Bradford: 4,500+ total yards and 53 combined TD's. 68.3% CR with over 400 pass attempts.
Tebow: 3,000+ total yards and 40 combined TD's. 64.9% CR with alittle over 200 pass attempts.
Both teams are in the BCS title game. So tell me how Tebow stands out over Bradford? Bradford beats Tebow in everything passing wise and Tebow leads only in yards and rushing TD's. Bradford having a higher completion rate with 2x the attempts is VERY impressive. The Heisman does NOT go to the best player in college football anymore, its about stats and class. Example Adrian Peterson as a Freshman who should have won it that year.
Tebow is no doubt one of the greatest college athletes ever. I was lucky enough to see him in high school too at Nease when they came up to Bama to play Hoover High and got stomped, but he proved how good he was putting the team on his back after having to take multiple IV's in 99 degree Bama heat that they couldnt even handle. Hoover wore black and beat them like 53-28 but Tebow and crew won the 4A State Title in Florida. His high school stats were PlayStation like. He deserved the Heisman last year as well. But I just cant see how he deserves it over Bradford this year with his stats. Being a leader and winning does NOT win it anymore and hasnt since before the 1980's.

The award goes to the best college player this season, and bradford put up impressive numbers against weak defenses. Just think of what tebows numbers would have been if he didnt spread out the ball as much as he did. Look at where he would get the ball because of his good defense. The reason his numbers were so steller last year was because of poor defense and bad field position. Look i know im a gator fan, and even if i wasnt, i watched bradford and tebow play, and i can honestly tell you that Bradford has a better WR core, with a much stronger rb. Tebow has harvin, and a couple small backs that are fast. But i think tebow played better and made alot better choices this season then he did last year. So for a heisman winner to improve to me says he deserves it again this year. And finally what one thing stands out that bradford did to make his name stand out above tebow??? nothing, but Tebow did have a press confrence where he promised he would play out of his mind to get them to the BSC. That to me stands out and will be the reason tebow wins again.

I personally think this game will be about WHO wants it MORE. Which team wants the title more. And in order for that team to win, they have to be playing their best until the end.

yeah nevermind having chris brown thats no slouch and almost as good as murray. and moses madu isnt to shabby either. To bad for florida cause murray wont change anything. Dude we have been going up against top ranked defenses all year and murray has been hurt, but guess what we still put 60 points up per game, what did fu do without harvin???? I know "not much". But serisouly what top ranked defensese did you play?? im talking in the top 20???? there was an article that said UF played 9 defenses in the top 50, vs OU's 4 in the top 50. I cant remember the article but it said texas played 2 top defenses. Also UF played the number 3 defense, the number 6 and number 9 in the country. So you still think OU played compareable defenses??? your out of your mind.

well maybe we didnt play as many as FU and if floridas defense is as good as you say then you may hold us to 40 points instead of 60:eek: Honestly I dont know what will happen I just want a good clean game w/no bogus penalties, and I feel like we might as well be playing in someones home field. OUs defense really worries me I feel like they had the weekest out of the top 10 teams and maybe the top 20.
I will say I wasnt as impressed with UF's defense until they played Bama. Granted they didnt shut us out and gave up 323 yards to their 358 but thats saying something considering we had one of the best running attacks in the nation. 20 points was our 2nd lowest point total for the year. We still had 4.1 yards per rush on 33 carries which is great considering. I think their pass D is the worst part of their D, but we had nobody that could make them pay other than Julio Jones the Freshman All-American. That will be what keeps OU in the ballgame is their passing game. You generally WONT force Bradford into mistakes as he doesnt throw many picks at all. If OU cant pass, UF wins this game. If they can pick off Bradford atleast twice, I say they win the game. But if Bradford has one of those 400 yard passing games with 3 TD's and 0 INT's, UF is done. I'm torn as I have alot of respect for OU and Stoops, probably more so than UF. But its hard not to root for your conference ya know? I just cant wait!
On the Sugar Bowl (yall probably dont care about it but I do!), Utah has only sold about 4K of their 17,500 allotment. I was thinking about going but decided not to. Utah's athletic dept. are still trying to get rid of their tickets. Its going to be a Bama home game as we travel really well and its probably going to be 90% Bama fans there altogether. I just dont see Utah staying with us considering that and the fact they are losing all the coordinators to new jobs this week and last. We have no turnover coaching wise and are working on a top 5 recruiting class so we have a ton of momentum heading into NOLA. And with ONLY 9 scholarshipped Seniors on this team, we arent going anywhere anytime soon. People dont realize how young this Bama team really is. We are in line to pull about 2-3 more 5 star players before Feb. too so he WILL finish with another top 3 class. The talent is pouring in and we will only get better. Only question marks for us next year is at QB and the OL. We lose 3 of our 5 offensive linemen but the whole defense is pretty much back for next year. The QB has little experience but played for Southlake Carroll, a powerhouse in Texas. He started on the same team that produced Chase Daniel the year before and he threw for over 5,000 yards and rushed for over 700. We'll have 2 Elite 11 QB's behind him as well. Will probably snag the #1 DB and #1 RB in the nation as we already have the RB committed out of Escambia High School, the same school that produced Emmitt Smith. Man I cant wait!!!
