Lineman needing info on FR CLOTHING.. my company is buying new FR clothing and we have to have jeans, shirts, jackets and bibs. My problem is the jeans. i am wondering about and looking for info on jeans that will fit a man that has big legs. i tried on jeans that are three sizes larger then my street jeans and none of them would fit my legs. I tried the Wranglers and Carhartt are there any others?
Is there a shell type cover that you can put on over jeans? I will not wear overhauls. it gets cold in the winter time and hot in the summer and i cant climb in bibs or overhauls.
Sure would apprecciate your input.

Tyndale is another. But if you search Fr Clothing in general you should come up with a bunch of sites.

What ever you do don't buy the Chinese brand our Company did.
The clothes were FR but full of dangerous levels of Formaldehyde.
This get up did not breathe at all, like wearing canvas!
So at the mo we have had no badged uniforms for near on 2 years.
Here is a link about it on SBS TV show Insight back in Jan 2009 - Part3 is the one you want to watch

I'd steer clear of jeans if at all possible, every pair that I've ever tried on didn't have any room in the legs or "man-land" if you catch my drift. I personally like Tyndale's canvas cargo pants, nice and comfy and plenty of room down below. Bulwark is a cheaper brand and all of their stuff that I've ever had has never seemed to hold up well. Carhartt is pretty good, but lots of their stuff isn't made in the U.S. anymore. Tyndale in my opinion is the best and it's made in the U.S. Tyndale seems real durable and for the most part the most comfortable.

Tyndale for me too. Best quality and comfort from everything I've tried. Made in the USA, and the company is extremely easy to deal with. The gals on the phone know their stuff and can give you any information you need.
Carrhart is killing their reputation with all the imported junk that doesn't hold up well and isn't comfortable, not to mention lacking the "Made In USA" label.
