Just got back from a 12 day ice storm in North Dakota. Cold as hell, single phase for miles, and some of the nicest people on earth. I'd do it again for sure.

Were you working union or nonunion, what was the pay rate? The only reason I ask is that we were going to go that way from Iowa and were told the REA only wanted to pay straight 8 then 8 OT. Our contract is for OT then DT after 16 on storms, so our answer was no.

We have been storming for almost three weeks, leaving South Dakota tomorrow. We where on Iowa scale and stayed on Double time most of the storm or time and one half. Our gang got a lot of work done safely, no accidents (personal or equipment) and had a lot of fun.

We were there for 12 days, union of course. Working at 55's scale, time and a half for the first 14, double for the last two. All linemen getting leadman scale. Good work, bad weather. I would do it again

Hell man, we don’t have a leadsmen’s scale in our contract. Where did you pull that one from? And where in the language did you find Double time after 14?
