hi guys greetings from Ireland just left a retirement function of a buddy who worked for 42 years in our utility company and with whom i had the privelige of being on the same hot glove crew for the last 17 years I would like to give him something special to mark this occasion and would greatly appreciate any advice on where to purchase a statue of a lineman or bucket truck or anything at all that i know he would appreciate heading into his retirement

thanking you

Years ago, I got a set of hooks chromed and installed new leather pads and straps, exchanged the rivets in the pads for chrome ones then had all the guys sign the pads. Turned out real cool for the old guy. I think he had them made into a lamp. Good luck to your friend.

Here's a few suggestions:

1)Find an addition of the book 'Slim' written by William Wister Haines

2)in 1996 Budweiser came out with a stein called a 'Salute To Working
America'. And on it, it had a pic of a lineman on a pole.

3)And if you're lucky, find a copy of the 'Saturday Evening Post' January 10, 1948 copy. And on the cover is the same pic of the lineman on the pole on the Budweiser Stein

Ebay is a pretty good site to find this stuff.

Good luck! And tell your partner congrats!

Probably on one of these sites listed but I've seen A-base 110volt meters on a lamp, meter turns when the light is on. cool for a trouble or serviceman. 42 years that's great. good luck to him.
