anybody know where there is some work to clear out some guys? hi line distro, anything? me and sum buds are hurting for cash looking to get out i keep hearing bout jobs that r gonna break but iv been hearing that for a while now holler back bros

Check the construction jobs boards on the IBEW website. Then go sign the books and wait in line.

and for swampy i am a organized linehand that grew up in tx and worked for red simpson and it is night and day betweeen non union and union . i am suprised at how much shit and dangerous stuff non union hands get away with , and where there is a death nothing happens. UNION IS 100 TIMES BTTER AND I HAVE WORKED BOTH SIDES AND FINALLY MET THE RIGHT PERSON BRUCE BUCKNER RIP THAT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!!!! but that isnt THE POINT, im just looking for maybe a hi line that s breaking or something, im on the books at 6 locals and just hoping for an inside track maybe where a guy could go and get out.

Yup.:cool: It is kinda confuseing at first isn't Mr. Stubs, in one forum he says he has directed his aprenti to work Union, then he bashes them in the next, just his defence mechinism. What ever the way the wind is blowin, as long as he gets his name on the board. He says alot of guys think highly of him, we already know he thinks highly of himself. I have never seen anyone boast of swamprats abilities on this board other then the legend himself.

Mr. Stubs, I have read your great Uncle retired from PGE as a lineman, he is probably gonna be the best resource available to you, learn all you can about the trade from him, He will tell you strait what working Union means. Good luck with your journey, I hope you become a journeyman lineman if that is your goal, you are on the right path, looking in the right places, and you have a plan.

As far as swamprat, I am suprised he hasn't called you any Oreo yet, or wetback, some of the terms this racist S.O.B has thrown around pretty loosely on this board, take the time to research him and what he is all about before talkin with him, he is just tryin to use you to make a point, understand he can give a shit about you or the line trade. I hate to see him use you or anyone in that fashion.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me, BPA is Union, although some of their territory are in Right to Work states, Mc Nary, John Day, The Dalles, and Bonniville are Dams they have on the Columbia River, They mostly work Transmission, used to be the best gig around, still one of the best. The Locals in the PNW are 125, 77, and 659, they all have sites, take some time to research the sites, they have alot of useful info, you can call them if you have any questions about which utilities are Union, most in the PNW are.

BPA is an open shop. You have the choice to join the union or not. They run out of local 125. 99.99% of the guys there are union.
