Did anyone change your work hours due to the heat last year? Last year hours were changed because of the heat. 'Course it didn't matter when there was trouble or storms brewing, but somedays were early days. The hours for my husband were changed an hour early starting and an hour early quiting. I think they were asked and no one disagreed. :D
Anyone else around the world have regular working hours change due to the weather?

Yeah, the Boss really likes it too. Just started it last year and they are going to do it agin. Sounds like the same deal other than 4pm. I've never known them to take an whole hour for lunch especially if they are in the woods.
Right now we leave work at the same time, but I get home before he does. Or I did before this new job. Anyway, he likes the long days (daylight savings time). Actually we both do.
Where is "here" kooman?

In a sense it's almost like our clocks going forward in Spring and back in Autumn, but that's for light as opposed to heat.
We don't get enough heat here to take action.

Over yonder they'll change the work hours in a effort to limit overtime / rest time.
As far as heat goes, if it's extreme they might reduce the restriction on some of the FR requirements to reduce heat stress...that's about it. ;)

http://www.avowners.com/forum/smileys/smileyx99.gif Tell me not the FR! You Texans don't know smoldering heat RC! Now those Cajuns might know a good bit, but not you guys...surely.
Actually I'm ribbin' you cowboys. I have some friends over in California that complain about the heat. They might have some other disasters to complain about, but dry heat shouldn't be one of them! I tease them. "But, aleast you have DRY heat." :D

In metropolitan areas I think a 6 am start time helps eliminate the employees to have to be in heavy traffic on their commute to work.
