Typical "right wing" propaganda. Just shows you how smart these tea-baggers are when they have to use someone who has been dead for 30 yrs. as their leading intellectual. What a bunch of idiots!

Heh, heh, heh....
"Propaganda" huh? More like TRUTH woody...
You got it Swamp "PROPAGANDA" Since when does "TRUTH" matter to the right wing. They will do and say anything (which includes sending the US back into recession) just to gain control of the government. All they care about is their base and not the American people.

PLAYBOY: What are the basic premises of Objectivism? Where does it begin?
RAND: It begins with the axiom that existence exists, which means that an objective reality exists independent of any perceiver or of the perceiver's emotions, feelings, wishes, hopes or fears. Objectivism holds that reason is man's only means of perceiving reality and his only guide to action. By reason, I mean the faculty which identifies and integrates the material provided by man's senses.
PLAYBOY: In Atlas Shrugged your hero, John Galt, declares, "I swear -- by my life and my love of it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." How is this related to your basic principles?
RAND: Galt's statement is a dramatized summation of the Objectivist ethics. Any system of ethics is based on and derived, implicitly or explicitly, from a metaphysics. The ethic derived from the metaphysical base of Objectivism holds that, since reason is man's basic tool of survival, rationality is his highest virtue. To use his mind, to perceive reality and to act accordingly, is man's moral imperative. The standard of value of the Objectivist ethics is: man's life -- man's survival qua man -- or that which the nature of a rational being requires for his proper survival. The Objectivist ethics, in essence, hold that man exists for his own sake, that the pursuit of his own happiness is his highest moral purpose, that he must not sacrifice himself to others, nor sacrifice others to himself. It is this last that Galt's statement summarizes.

I'm sure this is pretty elementary stuff for the Swimpo. After all floating a Wye/Wye would be harder than understanding Ayn Rand. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

What the heck are you talking about. What do the so-called "Teabaggers" have to do with Ayn Rand?

FYI-The movie has received significant backing from the "nut sackers" aka the "teabaggers" aka the "tea party." How well the film does at the box office is supposed to be a gage of the movements message and just how well it is catching on with the American people.

We'll see won't we.
You gonna watch it woody?:D
Out of curiousity probably will, but will wait until it comes out on DVD. I would undoubtedly get into trouble in the same room as a bunch of "nutsackers."

Not sure if that's true, but it is the second best selling book.........behind the Bible....I first read her book "The Fountainhead" over 40yrs ago, then I read Atlas Shrugged. Not quite sure what "movement" you are talking about.

I can't understand why you want to be so hateful. Your Carpel Tunnel must be acting up again.
Go back and read some more about the Wye/Wye. You'll understand it someday. Also practice up on making up a handline.
Ayn Rand's stuff is so far out and kookie I doubt if anyone really understands it. Read Maureen Dowd's critique of Atlas Shrugged. The book is just a piece of fiction. Idealistic bullshit that no one understands. One of the main premises is that no body gets a handout from the govt. I expect that's why it appeals to the tea suck crowd. If they weren't so hypocritical it wouldn't be so bad, but when you get to looking, all the tea suckers are on the govt. tit bigtime. Phony, phony, phony.
Without a little compassion or humor we are all lost.

Did you ever look at Farm and Ranch subsidies? That's one where the dollar amounts are in black and white. I think Batts posted one that had a pie chart with the amounts received by Publicker politicians compared to the Dems.
Michelle Bachman's family was a big recipient of subsidies also. What further proof do you need?

It means nothing to me, but saying all tea partiers are on the Gov't tit is not true. The subsidies are what they are, and the comparison btwn Repubs and Dems is ridicules because the majority of Dems are LAWYERS......By the way, the Dems were in charge for a little bit, and kept the subsidies.

Semantics, semantics. I have to parse my statements I guess. I didn't mean literally that ALL Teaparty folks draw farm subsidies. Many of them are urban people of course. I should have said, I guess, that a significant number of tea party folks who are part of farm businesses, have no qualms about drawing farm subsidies. These same folks who draw farm subsidies etc. are very vocal in protesting that "they don't want the govt. in their business" etc. To me that makes them hypocrites. There are plenty of politicians who fall into this category.
The majority of Dems. are LAWYERS? Prove it.
As far as the majority of Dems. being lawyers is a new one for me. I would guess it's probably about the same statistically. I don't see that would have any bearing anyway.
I'm sure they all keep the subsidies regardless of their party affiliation.

According to one source I looked at 81 Republican members of congress are lawyers and about 123 Democrat members are lawyers. So you are right when you say the majority of Dems are lawyers. This of course includes both houses, Senate and House.
Of course I know most Repubs do have to struggle once they get past the third grade. Some do manage to get a Phys Ed degree.
