the mortgage meltdown was just one small piece of the puzzel. If you want to study the root cause spend a little time researching the sub prime mortgage fiasco and the crazy interest only loans. Than look into how the brokerage houses grabed the notes and packaged those notes into investment funds. After that learn what the term "derivitive" means:D,,, thats right.... Wall street can make an assett out of thin air, the value of which is derived from anything you could possibly imagine, Dose'nt matter what it is, anything from pork bellies, soybeans and yes morgage funds:eek:
the world was the limit. brokerage firms were out of controll, Literally leveraging themselves $ 100 dollars to one.
Oh, but wait, silly me:o we can't possibly put any blame on wall street. Good hevens, If the average dancing with the stars, Fox news watching moron could ever posibly comprehend the shadow banking system and vodoo economics. who knows what those gun loving, nascar watchin six pack joes are capable of:eek:.

Yeah its way better to blame the bottom feeders, hopelessly unemployed, lazy poor folk. Yep, it spins way better! It was all there fault. After all more government regulation in the financial sector is the last thing we need.

Ain't if funny through all of this the fortune 500 have never enjoyed such profit and wealth. Outsourcing and overseas investments are paying dividens. The work force has been reduced by 20 million Americans. Replaced by workers in China, India, Brazil, Indonesia..... Yeah old Ross Perot was right, Too bad Americans didn't notice that giant sucking sound, That faint unnoticed sound was the life blood of the middle class draining away.
