The company I work for just purchased a new altec '55 2 man material handler with the lift bucket just wondering the likes and dislikes on this unit

I just wished they could have left the joystick in the original place it is awkward as hell to operate the stick and the bucket at the same time other then that it is a Cadillac in my book!!!

You have my condolences on being stuck with an Altec MHAD, I will only take out an Altec if it is my only choice.

My company has mostly Altecs with the exception of a HighRanger 65 and we just purchased a terex 125. The H R 65 is being replaced with an Altec 60E. We have a mix of AA600, A755, 55E, and the over center 50 footers, all with jibs. We also have a couple squirts and 42 foot knuckle booms. For the most part we prefer Altec for our distribution trucks, and have had good luck with them over the years.
