Different strokes for different folks is all I can say without more info as to how ya'll do things down there.

We had 20 linesmen in our crew.. All lv done live. Tempory insulated jumpers and swaped over a phase at a. Time.... :). We had 18 maoris one samoan an little old me. Token white guy. Really good money. And the option of working as many weekends as you liked. Double time at weekends. Unless it rained then you got treble time. (Yahoo) also got paid "CASH" every wensday. "Good times". :)

worked with some kiwis a few years ago they told me they used ladders all the time
carrying them into the bush up hills the lot
they were sound guys

I consider lv anything under 400 volts... The kiwis low voltage was 220volts. Coz the platforms are insulated we didn't. "Always use rubber gloves". They called it "open hand" it was sometimes very uncomfortable useing gloves in the summer coz of the heat.. Also let me put on record that the maoris I. Worked with were the. Best ,kindest, most hard working and genouroud guys I ever had the pleasure to work with....m. "Kia ora" Bros.. "Choice" x
