I believe they are hiring lineman right now, if you are a lineman you should not have any trouble passing their written test or field test, I know some guys who have worked for them in the past and according to them they are not the most employee friendly bunch and not that it would bother you as you are already in that area, but most folks don't want to be stuck down in Dade and Broward county which is where your gonna be stuck for a while. If you are not a lineman you may have a long wait to get on, as a lot of companies want trained lineman to walk in the door.

I suggest you finding the local union there, going in and asking them what it takes as for as working for fp&l,you have nothing to loose, and everything to gain. Also if you see an fp&l truck, try talking to the guy or guys.I worked there for awhile and they suggested i go to the local, but swamp is correct in saying that experience is the best.Funny thing is ,i was there for awhile and only seen fp&l actually work once, gravey train job, lol. And you might mention working in the bonita springs area or the naples area, that place was booming a few years back, urd experience helps there,,naples hates overhead distribution lines.I can only say this about fp&l,if you like driving, thats the company to work for, they seem to drive in millions of circles.
