We are putting up a new tranny on the H pole. I was searching for the old lv cable. I followed it through the woods. And found they had dead ended it on a tree. I supose the clearenc got better every year. :)

You do realize that service will stay at the same height as the tree grows.

HOW ??????? It looks like its been there about 20 years. Its pulled out of the ground and is straining the pole that its ran from. I THINK ITS HIGHER ABOVE GROUND NOW than when it was first erected. . Maybee I'm wrong. ? I have been before. :)

Unless trees grow differently over there & I really doubt they do, that service is at the same height as the day it was put there.

They grow "up" here. So 20 years ago the tree was smaller. ??? And if it hasn't alterd since the time it was erected. Then they sure erected it VERY tight . The adjacent pole is bent over and the lv service is like a guitar string. ?
If you nail a board to a tree at 5' & come back in (pick your #) years, yes the tree will be taller, but the board will still be at 5'

OK. Fair enough. I havnt time to be nailing bits of wood to growing trees. And waitng 20 years to measure where it is after the times elapsed. .. So I will take your word for it. ;). I'd be 70 by then and forgot I'd done it. Ha ha. :D.
