Bren you take some really good pics,they are also interesting,thanks for sharing with us.Somehow that only word made me think,depending on where you say it i guess.i wouldnt use it in front of the deceased relitives.And ive never have yet heard anyone say i only made half of a mistake.Or say i only got half hurt,that being said i guess nobody has said that they only were half way killed,but any way.Years back some guys were building a transmission tower,the kind television and radio uses to transmit their signals.Some how the crane operater hits a guy wire with equipment being sent up,the tower falls,killing 3 guys that were close to 2000 feet in the air.A friend of mine that happens to be a lineman was watching with his wife that day,from their back yard they said they could hear the guys screaming all the way down.That was only 2000 feet up,could have been 3000 ft.Two days ago this guy was killed in houston,he was killed buy a rubber tire gantry crane,it only wieghed 250,000 tons.He was walking beside it ,in front of it,but it doesnt matter now,it only cut him in half.In linework the only word is kind of hated,if only,but looking at my webster dictionary can be confusing too,only if i could explain what only means.But i do have a question for you,being irish does santa wear a green suit there?

Nooooooooo. He wears a red one.... The ONLY was being sarcastic because it was deemed a sucses. The other hydro dam up the road has its own grave yard.. Kids as young as 6 were killed. And some women....... There is over thirty graves up there. :( all the pipes are hand made and were built straight due to the fact that they couldn't manafacture curved ones back then.. It was built in the early 1900s....... When they used to kill on average 1 person per mile on the railways. Scarey times.... Lukily "most of us have progressed since then.". :(

This pic gives a better sense of scale..... Our 7 tonn digger and a work mate. Each pipe supplys a turbine which produces 110kv and supplys two tower lines. Each turbine supplys one side of a tower has. Three conductors so the 4 transformers in the pick supply ONE side of a tower. Its so simple when ya see it in opperation. The water comes down the pipes turns a turbine , through a transformer and straight out on to the tower line. The water then flows out into the loch (lomand....... If there is massive demand and the lake runs low at the top. They pump the water back up at night when there's less demand... ( Pumped storage)

Was watching a show on the History Channel about ship building back in the 1900's and it was common to put the amount of deaths they figured they would have during the build into the bid.

As an imagrant worker meself....... I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK. ;) the other half of our squad are up on SKY doing faults.... Theve a landing craft organised for tomorow to get gear around the back of the island....... It will be like "shaving ryans privates". Ha HA.....
