I tried out for the border patrol as a back up to trying to get into this groundman gig... these have been the only jobs that have caught my interest in the past 4 years.

I would be a full time goat farmer. Their personalities are a lot better than most people. Only problem they do not pay well. But would have liked to try my hand at being a vet.Always liked the critters.

Thanks Colorado. :D It threw me there for a second and all I could do was laugh!
I wouldn't give anything for having a family and growing old with the Boss, but if had to do it over, it would be to join the Air Force. My father wouldn't have his only girl in the service, so I let it go, but it is something I think about from time to time.
And to this day, it's one thing I do is support our troops and fly the American Flag.

I wanted to be a fighter pilot and joined the Navy at age 17 after acing my GED for the recruiter, But with 20/60 20/100 correctable vision uncle Sam wasn't going to spend that kind of money on me.
So I became an AME, I got to work on the Ejection seats, Canopy jettison systems an pilot environmental controls. The ejection seats are pretty cool cause they use the equivalent of 3 sticks of Dynamite to throw you out of the plane just before a 5000 pound thrust rocket motor finishes the job.
After that I did EOD for a while until the big helicopter crash.

I know a guy that had a job as an equipment tester for Coleman. He did the same for other smaller outdoor compaies too. I think getting paid to help other hunt and fish could be great. But I've heard some stories of clients that were just jerks, expecting a sure thing in all they do.

Recently got interested in becoming a helicopter pilot for power line jobs, was doing the rigging for my crew that was doing a dead end and got to talking to the pilot and he made a good case for it.(long after i finish my apprenticeship, which according the njatc will be a good 6-7 years because of the lack of distribution work)

I always thought a crane operator would be a cool job. I don't mean lifting a can up on a pole I mean big cranes. 250tons and bigger!
