We have lots of swamp and bog to get stuff stuck in and I can think of many times a day was wasted trying to get equipment unstuck.
The more they say it cant get stuck really means if you get it stuck you're really stuck!:D

Having sunk a large cherrypicker in mud in Glasgow (Next to the Clyde) the worst bit was the crowd it pulled who all apparently knew how we should be getting it out. I ended up getting quite annoyed and being "blunt" with them.
At least you're away from the prying eyes of civilisation.
Just for the record, Neil posted a pic of one he'd sunk here too.

We have alterd the geography of your country Clive. Sorry.
Got the digger out BUT created a new "LOCH"
Funny how quick an 11 ton digger can disapear. :)
And your right, no audience. Exept on PLM. But they'd never "grass"... :)

Oh dear! We have had our mog worse than that, needed a 30t digger to pull it out. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .which got stuck and needed 2x 20t machines to recover.

We nearly lost an 18 ton machine in a farm reservoir last summer whilst launching a floating pump. The bank was slippy and the machine started to slide on it's tracks.
Given the reservoir is 40 ft deep just off shore, I wouldn't have fancied the machines chances, luckily the operator dropped the pump and managed to get the bucket on to the edge of the bank at the waterline and stop the slide.

Now,there was a crew heading about 45 miles west of houston a few years back.............on a county road..............sign on the bridge said nothing over 10 tons...............well apparently it was a got to go job..............they were only hauling machinery that weighed well over 100,000 tons..............Ill let you guess what happened............wont say what company but the big daddy mentioned it in a safety meeting...............his words werent very polite.
