I don't remember. Since changing jobs last year, I've not really had that much time to get involved in one.

What was the last book you read?

CH, just looked at that book. Most sites have it 4 stars or better. Might have to take a look at that one.

RH......now, you almost had me with the cookbook. I did write "almost". Give me a book with some plot in it about this kind of thing, and I'll read it. But, how to "cook" it, uh...no. :D

Any thing Robert Heinlin, But time enough for love is my personal favorite. I feel like the Lazarus long character sometimes.

I've read The Road, would that count?

I don't know. I'm not much into gloom and doom. More into suspense and hopefully there is some humor in it. I've found most books that are made into movies are huge disappointment. Rarely do you read a book that the movie surpases it.

Ummm. What movie has surpased a good book? I'll have to think on that.

Crazy Love by Francis Chan. That is one tough read. Here is a 3 minute video intro. This guy has an insight that is quite unique and challenging.

It gives you a wide variety of material to cover, I think if I had time the history alone would be interesting.

Get "Reasoning From The Scriptures With Jehovah Witnesses" by Ron Rhodes.
I always start out my conversations with those who believe the Watch tower this way. Who is Jesus. They say Michael the Arch Angel, I say can you seriously read the Bible and come to that conclusion, Really???????
Another great book on this subject is "The Kingdom of the Cults" by Walter Martin. I have spent quite a bit of time with many Christian authors who write about Christian Apologetics which is my favorite subject to study.
Another great resource is "Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics" by Norman Geisler.
I have been studying Christian Apologetics for close to 20 years now and have yet to get bored.

Ask your friend to explain John 1:1 after you read it for yourself. Let me know what they say and let me know what you think it means.

Decision Points-
A good book describing the presidency of George W. Bush. While I may not have agreed with all of the decsions he made, it was interesting reading his thought processes and those of people around him. Overall, I feel it was a good read.

Holy Bible- Still reading on it regularly- I try to read some at least every few days. At times I try to read it in an orderly manner, while at other times I just flip it open and read what is before my eyes at that time. Current favorite verse: Proverbs 19:27 which reads " Stop listening to instructions, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge." How true that applies to so many parts of our lives today.
