This might be confusing to some, but here it goes...........a few years back Texas wanted deregulation........voted on it and it was approved.........so here in my area, instead of paying the local utility ........you pay a provider........here are some choices we have..........TXU..RELIANT..GREEN MOUNTAIN..DYNOWATT..CPL RETAIL...CIRRO ENERGY..DIRECT ENERGY.....and so on........well people thought that their bills would go down due to competition......it really didnt happen that way ............but for those of you that are regulated I assume you pay the local utility...........now I do have a question for you co-op guys.........do your customers pay your co-op directly..........or how does that work?..................now Ill blow Poots mind about this State.............Mr.Poot........I just found out that the Austin area isnt deregulated yet.......so theres no competition there.........The city of austin gets all the gold........unlike the rest of the state................I wonder how that goes.........ohhhhhhhh,I forgot it is the state capital..................that must have something to do with the why question.

Ummmmmmmm we aint deregulated either. Here ya have one choice. De regulation was and is a joke. The only folks to benefit have been the providers. If anything it has cost the customers plenty.
