Confidential.....is it or is it not

How many times have you taken a survey for your company.....and in the first few minutes they mention confidential around 4 or 5 times........are they trying to assure you or me that it is what they say it is....................I mean if i were to use that word in a conversation,Id mention it maybe twice..................sometimes they are asking for your opinion........... do you get that feeling like I used too...........you want to be honest,and want things to change for the better of a company........but on the other hand you may think..........do they really want my input?..............I mean if its confidential ,what do they do with all this info...........do they have a meeting with .............lets say 8 others and talk about the survey.............ok ,does that still make this confidential..............when all the info is recieved ........do they get back to every employee and inform them of the results..........ok is that confidential...............and finally do they meet the concerns of the employee......................Ive been to dozens of these meetings where we had to do the surveys.................and at each one......... all the lineman look into each others eyes .............and the eyes read........this again.................since we are on that topic .......ever wonder why so many guys dont post their concerns or experiences.............is some of that fear that their employer might find out who they are..........i can see that can be concern............I used to kind of feel that way.............is there someone with the company that looks at this and other websites so that they can go tatta tell............I imagine so.........they must be busy...............is Human Resources the best people to discuss something confidential with..........you better think again if thats what you think.................from what I see the word confidential is closely tied with the word secret.................so when spilling it all out is it still a secret...............just think about it...........how many times have you told someone a secret.and they told somebody else..............of course they told the third party it was a secret also..............and dont tell anyone that I posted this.........cause its not confidential anymore.

Ummmm those confidential questionaires are usually deciphered by a third party. They dont really deal with specifics. What they decipher outta them thangs is are you satisfied with your company? The reasons why you are or aint are never even adressed. They may be broken down to your opinion of mid level management, compensation, training, benefits, Satisfaction with equipment or lack of it.Its also an excuse for the employer to claim to be interested in individual employee satisfaction. Its a myth cause they aint. But its a tax deductible option for them.When its all said and done they will change nothing at all and may even falsify the data to put them in a positive light, making you think you might be radical in your assessment.
