Yes, it seems that I am the only person that has computer problems around here. It comes and it goes. I guess it must have something to do with the provider we have over here. I'm not sure. Then I do speak to some around this area that has the same problems. I guess the time I want to get on the computer is the time it wants to act up!
I do think off and on it is the site because some I have asked is having it too. Who knows? I haven't the time to keep up with it to know. I'm not fortunate to be retired, ya know! (Elbows Poot) :D
So, how is everyone? How's the weather? Whatchya up to (other than over 12 foot)?
Clive, what's happening over yonder? Any Kilt Festivals going on? No, I'm not asking for pics. If I was, it would be above the waist. I'm teasing, kinda sorta. No, don't send pics. I am married ya know! :D
How in the heck is everyone?

What exactly IS your problem with your computer? You can't get online? Are you on DSL, thru your phoneline? Or Cable, like Brighthouse/Roadrunner?
Are you still getting "Popups" on your main screen, when ya boot up?

Yep, DSL. No popups in a while. The computer seems clean really. It's just sometimes I can't get service. Then sometimes I have service everywhere but here. So, I'm not sure.

Clive/Neil/Bren, do you guys celebrate St. Paddy's Day pretty big? I hear it's bigger than the Fourth of July over yonder. What's the big meal on this day other than the color Green? Has the tradition changed all that much? What's different?

If you're using a wireless connection to the internet (WiFi) then it can get interference from other equipment that transmits on similar frequencies like wireless CCTV cameras and even microwave ovens.
We don't celebrate St Patricks day in Scotland much. I think the whole green food thing is actually an Americanisation. You guys like to celebrate your heritage in style. Like most things American though, it may be that we end up celebrating it over here "American style" in the future.
If you have issues with your computer "catching stuff" then your ideal laptop is now available. Googles Chrome laptops and netbooks. They basically have a browser as an operating system and without the need for a ig bloated system like Windows they boot extremely quickly when turned on (less than 10 seconds.)
They also do a quick self check at power-up and if the system has anything odd on it they automatically download a completely clean system. Basically simple, virus-proof computers.

My daughter mentioned Google Chrome the other day while using this PC. Actually she said, "You don't have google chrome Mom?" Like I was not in the "know" or something. I guess not! :D Maybe I just need to bite the dust and get a laptop. I am kinda in the stone age here.
Yep, Americans go nuts at times with their celebrations. It's like a pop cultural thing. One tradition can go extreme. Look at the football fans? Thirty years ago you would dress to the nines to go to a game. Now you have punk rockers in the stands with painted hair and faces. :D

Chrome is actually a free browser you can use to surf the 'net like with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
You could download it right now if you wanted, but the Chrome laptops and netbooks are dedicated systems for that Internet browser. They're related to the Android phones that all the young-un's are using. Like me. :p
