I just know that this will bring back a memory or two,and with it you will read it and smile, that, somebody will cross your mind........you may have not seen him in years, maybe you forgot about him..............but he told me to tell you hi.........have you ever had a person, another lineman,foreman,supervisor.....that would go out of his way to get you off the clock, some will even hunt you down..........is it cause they are looking after your safety, maybe they need you back for a certain shift..........and maybe its all about the money that you have coming........once I worked a triple shift........due to trouble.....early that next morning I kept hearing this foreman over the radio, seemed like every hour he would ask how many more orders I had.........while this is going on,I was recieving even more orders from the trouble board...........they he got worse later.......seemed like every 15 minutes he would call me over the radio, asking when I was going home..........by this time Im kind of getting tired of hearing his vioce.......so I ignor him..........an hour passes and I see his truck fly into the gate, towards me.........now hes close to losing it,and tells me that I need to get off the clock........it seems he doesnt know that im a little hungry and have a meal coming, and a little pissed..........he leaves the scene.........I kind of thought about it and wondered which place I could eat at that was the farthest from where I was......headed that way........well around two hours later after getting back to park the truck I tell the service board that Im heading home..........I know the guy was listening and heard what I said,he must have thought that I was long gone............I only have one regret..........I wish I could have seen his face that moment.:D

Yeah , they are very sticky here now about working no more than 16 hours due to the current labor laws. I have been sent to a motel and had to be back in the shop before the 16 hours was up, even if it was a 2 hour drive.

In a declared disaster they'll suspend them temporarily, some states don't seem to care, some power companies don't seem to care, and then you have some companies that have problems with the DOT to begin with so they get a little gunshy about breaking ANY rules.

Oh, and then you can't forget about the going on the double bubble and never going off. 16 and under gets you 1.5 time only in a lot of places.
