Got an ALBAT interview!!!! What to expect?? [Archive]

Got a letter in the mail yesterday from ALBAT yesterday. My appearance is expected for an interview with the 1393 Area lineman subcommittee on April 24. The Lord has answered my prayers!! I'd just like to know what to expect before I go. any input would be appreciated..

I interviewed with ALBAT in July of last year. The interview took place at a hotel conference room on the southside of Indy. Show up early because they may be moving along quicker than expected with the interviews, dress nice - clean boots, jeans, button down or polo style shirt (this is what most of the subcommittee where wearing), and don't be nervous.

We waited in the hallway til our name was called. There was a guy coming out every so often to check off people's names that were there to be interviewed. While waiting Start talking with some of the other guys waiting as well. Helps ease the mood for everyone.

When your name is called you go in the interview room were about 8 guys are at a table. Only one guy asked the questions. All the interviews were short only lasting maybe 10 minutes on average. I was asked about past work experience, was I willing to travel, and how did I learn about ALBAT. Speak clearly and look at everyone there. They all score you and that determines your rank on the wait list.

After the interview you need to call the ALBAT office to learn your rank on the wait list. I landed in the low 50's and then the next month I was down in the upper 20's. Last I learned I was down in the teen's, but I haven't gotten a response to my last two emails to see where I am currently ranked.
