hi guys, our company has just got new full body harnesses and they are really cr*p after an hours work you hips, back and shoulders are red and starting to bruise but coz they bought them in bulk they refuse to change them(we used to get a choice of a couple).i asked the the question of buying my own and they says fine so i am starting to look online but i was wondering if you guy have any good suggestions.i had a cresta one before it was good but you had to lay it down and stand into it and this was ok if the ground was dry but coz im in scotland it isnt dry very much:),so your ass was wet even before you started.any help would be great.

We've two types. Dunn the name of the other ones....

Mine is Petzl. Wouldn't leave the ground without it.

If you attach right you can sit in it all day. Some of the other ones give me real pain in the kidneys where they pull round my back.

If you want a good, light, simple, comfortable harness, with everything adjustable try looking at Guardian

We use Bashlin because they have so many options for sizing.

Bashlin "X" style or Miller Revolution. You can sit in the truck with the Miller as it has hinges at the hips. The D-ring at the back has a spring and sticks up so you can reach over your shoulder to attach the lanyard bit it has no eye at the front for self rescue. The Bashlin has an eye(webbing not metal)at the front for self rescue.

Gotta agree with Bren, i've got a Cresto 829 great harness. When this one dies im gonna get a cresto 870 its got padding on the shoulders and you dont have to struggle pulling both shoulder straps
over ya large sweed!! (head)

I've had the Ritelight Ultimate harness - it was ok, all the buckles kept coming loose expecially if you walk a couple of span in it.
