With all of the things that have happened in the past few months and because of my name being tossed about the internet, I was going to write a big post all about my side of it and try to justify my actions (or inactions) Then it just kinda drivels on and on and is boring so, now I’ll just put it this way, do any of you have questions of me that you would like answered here?

Nope no questions Byron, just my 2 cents about how I enjoy coming to this site and reading up on things. Its been better now that the bashing and fighting has disappeared. Thanks, keep up the good work. Rob

Hi Byron, don't let it get to you. The kiddies have spat out their dummies and moved to their own little sandpit. This forum is still the primary power linework forum on the Internet and that's not going to change any time soon.
I'm aware of the name calling and *****ing on the other forum and it's too childish to take seriously.

I also enjoy this forum and relating what I know about linework and Troubleshooting Distribution. I would rather help young ladds doing this work as long as they work safe and go home smarter than when they showed up each morning. This work is changing faster than it ever did and what I know will soon be outdated as far as how you get it done, But Electricity will always be the same. Dangerous if you don't respect it.

The question is why do I let Swamprat stick around?
I wonder that myself sometimes.
For years Swamp has been a pain in the butt by continually pulling most any conversation off of the point and making it political and pushing his opinions all the time but, I have always had a soft spot for him because for so many years he has been a real character on this forum. Continually stirring the pot and keeping some controversy going. It was all good for a lot of years until everybody got so pissed off and intolerant of each other. But here is the thing with Greg. Even when he gets banned he doesn’t get ugly with me. He has not called me names or threatened me or any of that. He hasn’t ever tried to hurt my business or my reputation unlike some others. He has stayed loyal to powerlineman as a friend through all of this upheaval and even if I ban him again I don’t think he is going to come off hating my guts for it. So, even though he can be a real pain in the ass I try to be tolerant and give him a chance to participate, more or less for "old times sake" but, he has a hard time doing that so, he may get banned again but, I still trust him.
By the way, we have been having some server issues over the past few weeks and people are getting the 404 permissions error now and then. What is bad is that everyone thinks that we have done it to them personally but that isn't the case. I could not get on it myself this morning for a while. Apparently powerlineman.com has been under attack by what appears to be overseas web sites.

That seems to be the way of thinking of everyone on this site now, not just about Greg, but about everyone having valuable input. Linemen, tree trimmers, meter techs, locaters, management, union, non-union, working or retired, they all have sothing of value to contribute.
