No wrong answers so give an opinion.....besides rubber gloves & bucket trucks what do you think is the best tools lineman have to do our job safer and more efficient,and if you can is there any tool or method that you thank can be improved,what tool,or method would that be?............The second part of the question is do you think this industry will be like the cell phone/computer industry .......meaning that will a company or companies such as Apple,Microsoft,ect do to this industry what the companies did with them.......maybe there is more than meets the eye...where would they start?

The best tool a lineman can have is a brain, the will to use it, the mouth to speak up , and the training and experience to back it up!!!

Hydraulic squeeze tools have help resolve alot of the shoulder issues. Cap stans for lifting Tx instead of rope blocks. Backyard machines, Hydraulic impacts instead of air and the battery impacts. Stick chain saws, Thats just a few off the top of my head.

Well said,ROB8210.I would have to say thou with a heavy emphasis on training.There are alot of Company's dropping the ball on this and this is there short cut there taking.Its great working with co-workers who think the same way you do and continuing lineman training is the right step.I heard Xcel Energy's building a 40 million dollar facility to continue there training not just for Apprentices but continuing training for Journeyman Lineman.Finally a Company with a vision.Also New policy you see something you say something............
