Done a bit of that in my time too Bren,
My record is switch kettle on, climb 15 metres, change outdoor unit on back of microwave dish, climb down just as my climbing partner was pouring the water into the mug.
(We never bothered to both climb at that height, but both were always dressed ready in case of a problem)
Changed a couple of aircraft lights at 100m a couple of years ago, it was as big as a dustbin (garbage can) and took a bit of handling on a 2ft square platform with two blokes on it as well before we managed to get "outside" and work it from there

If you have access to the show "world's toughest fixes" there's an episode about TV towers. They replace a 7000lb antenna 2000ft in the air. Very interesting

Cool Bren!!
Did something like that once, back in 76, when I was "Young and Bullet Proof". A "Weekend, extra money Job."
Think I made $200 bucks for a couple hours work, replacin 3 Lightbulbs on a Local Television stations TV tower. THAT was a Sh$tload of money back in 76, for a couple hours work.
Got to climb the first 200 Ft, on the inside, then had to go "outside". Had 2 safetys, and a "Diddy Bag" with 6 light bulbs in it. I'd replace one, then they'd check it, to make sure it worked. If it was Ok, I'd move on up to the next one.
Gotta say, it "Puckered my as$hole"!
Bein a 50-60 foot pole climbin dude.
But, when I got to the top, to replace the last one...I'm thinkin it was a 500 ft. tower...WHAT a VIEW!!!! Wish to hell we had Cell Phone Cameras back then!!!
Back then, it was no big deal. Just an "extra money Job" on the weekend. Really nothin to take a Picture of anyway. Besides, back then, we only had "Film" cameras.:)
This has been posted before, but, it's worth postin again. Sorry....this one's TOO Big for me!!!!
