I have more hobbies than I have time to even think about. haha. One I have been focusing on lately is building models. I did it all the time when I was a kid. I work nights so it gives me something to do when I get home to wind down after working hard all night. Here's my two latest models I built.

A kenworth W900 with an Effer crane. truck started as a regular W900 kit got rid of the sleeper on it and added a third drive axle

the other is a Jeep CJ-7, my girlfriend loves Jeeps so she had me build her one

Holy COW!!!!
Those are AWSOME!!!
The Detail, Painting....are just incredible!!

I use to do models when I was younger. I did Model "Cars" and Trucks.

Use to use a Hot "exacto knife", heated with a zippo lighter, to chop and channel some of em, and cut the doors open. Then used body Putty, to fill in the "Put together". Sanded it all down, then spray painted em.

Use to Upolster the seats with real cloth too. Even won a couple prizes with some of em. I did one hell of a 49 Ford pickup truck....sure wish I had pictures of that one. The complete undercarriage was chromed. Had it tilted up, on the display, with the doors open, and a mirror underneith, so you could see the undercarriage. Use to "Wire" the spark plugs, fuel lines, and even experimented with "Lights", with A batterys, under the "Display" too.

**** man...."Thanks for the Memories"!!!

Your models, are REALLY Nice man!!
What scale are those?

If I remember correctly mine were 1/24th scale. Just typical Revell, model cars and trucks. Even built a Tank once.
Da$n, The "Things" I should have taken pictures of! Who knew....

Take a lesson my friend. TAKE Pictures of em, as you have...and SAVE em for "later Storys"!

Do you Spray Paint your bodys?

I've too many hobbies to list and the guys have been bombarded with pics for years here. :D

Thanks for sharing STL!

Nice work STL. I made a model of a Harley Davidson we used to own, we hit a deer with and in recovery I built a model of the bike and called it the Deer Slayer. I'll try to get a pic and post it.
My pass time now is iracing, a simulated racing program. It's a simulator more than a game. Here is a video showing all sorts of cars and tracks you can compete on/with.

Here is my Franklin Mint collection of Harleys. The one in the clear plastic box is one I built from a kit to resemble our '94 FLHTC we hit the deer with.47264727

Can't seem to organize these very well?

Awesome carving Duckhunter. Wish i had the patience for that. I once met a guy that had carved a duck, he managed to get the tailfeathers paper thin. He took first place at the Exhibition that year

Thanks rob. I'll finish his dog and mount them together. My next project is a Wood Duck, antique-style decoy. I'm also carving acharacter I'm calling "Apprentice;first pole". It's a long-legged, long-armed scared kid hanging on for dear life. I have high hopes for it, I'm donating it as a fund raiser.

I carved these several years ago and never did anything with them. When we were in California in June, I found these pieces of redwood on the beach and brought them home. This is the use I49544955 gave them.

The reason for the change in color is that I wasn't happy with the way the hardjat was sitting on his head. So I cut a piece of his face off and glued another hunk of wood on.

That's really Cool Duck! I use to "carve"...learned it from my grand Dad. He use to carve incredible birds and stuff, and paint em. I've carved a bit, but never got into the painting part. Always loved the look of the raw wood.

I'll be home tomorrow, been hangin out here in Sebastian fishin for a few days.

I'll try to remember to take a pict of something I did that my daughter wanted. Did it about 20 years ago. Also carved her First toy rattle. A ball in a box, with a handle, out of a solid piece of pine, 2" X 2" X 4". Wonder what happened to that....

My daughter did a Drawing in Art Class and asked me if I could Carve it for her.

Mounted it on a piece of Petrified wood she got on vacation one year when we visited a souvenir shop in the Petrified forrest.

If by fret work you mean bulding guitars, I built a Fender P-Bass out of Zebrawood years ago. Back then I played in a band. I quit playing out when I became a lineman. Couldn't be on-call and playing somewhere.

I'm sorry Jim, ya misunderstood me sir.

My Daughter "Drew" the Lady in Art Class, she asked me to Carve it in wood for her. I carved that...20 odd years ago....

I'm ashamed to say man...I don't remember what type of wood it was. It was soft carvin. Honest to god, I think it was just Pine.

It was a piece of wood I just picked up, layin around the yard over in Saudi, when I was Teachin a Lineman course.

When I got done carvin it, I sanded it..."Baby butt" smooth.

Then, over a couple months, just carried it around... rubbin it with my hands every day, sorta like rubbin a ball before a pitch.
