Yes,the ole boring transformer pad thread...but in here,on this website..theres no telling what will be brought up next....first there were the concrete pads,than the hard plastic black pads....for awhile they had these pads that were about an inch in a half.....they might last a week....wonder who fell for those.....then there was the old types of concrete pads.....really heavy duty....anyone using anything different?

we use a fiberglass vault most of the time, for single phase they are 30 inches deep, we bury them about 2 foot deep, they are great for coiling the extra wire in it, no more short elbow jobs anymore, the 3 phase ones are even better, more room for wire than you should need, a little extra work for installation but well worth it.
We use a 4' concrete vault resting on gravel then we put an 8" concrete pad on it, only the pad is above ground, we also use 2 ground rods & go around the vault with 2/0 copper.
