My daughter's boyfriend is suckin up to me.
For my Birthday, he got me a certificate to the Gandor Mountain "Simulation gallery".

I'd never even heard of Gandor Mountain before. Baiscally, it's like a Bass Pro shop, with a Live Firing Range and a "300 degree view" Simulator...of actual senerios a person might encounter, when carrying a Conceled weapon.

I've been to quite a few training seminars, and am a pretty good shot with a pistol. But, I gotta say...I learned some very important stuff from these simulations. A couple things that were never addressed in my training seminars. What an eye opener.

Got shot in the back once. Never saw it comin....

From there on out, I got the message.
It's 300 degree panoramic for a reason. Pretty awsome experience.

Definately worth the 45 bucks for 30 min. of the 300 degree simulator. And, I took away a couple VERY important lessons.

You have your choice of either a Glock, or a Beretta 92. The guns are the actual weight and size, and have almost, the actual Kick of the real weapons.

It was a pretty awsome experience, and a couple new "lessons definately... Learned".

The actual Live Fire Gun Range, which we did later, is State of The ART! 25 Bucks for an Hour. THEY supply the ear muffs, glasses, and ALL the targets you want. You just go out and get another one. They are right behind you IN the range. A range officer is present at all times, IN the live fire Range, and....in my case, in the location I was in, Extremely competent, knowledgeable, and friendly. One of them even let me fire his new FNP .45....16 + 1!!!!!

Holy Crap!! My HK USP .45 can only hold 10 + 1! I mean Seriously!!! 17 Rounds, in a .45 normal size handgun!!

As you have gathered....I was stoked by the experience, the lessons learned, and just the whole experience. Check out the link below, to see if you have one of these great places near your hood.

Ya know....I sorta like my daughters Boyfriend....

Actually...Yes, I probably will LA. He$l it's only 30 min. up the road from my house!

I have to agree with Poot though...Bass Pro is a much better place to shop for "Sportin Goods". GM is good...but nothin beats Bass Pro!!

BUT...I was talkin about the Gun Simulator, and the Gun Range IN the Store.

If ya read the link, and about GM...there are only about 6 states that have the "Added" extra of the Simulator and Gun Range.

I don't know whether you've ever been to a "Gun Range" LA...but ya might want to check out THIS one at GM in Lake Mary. Truly State of the Art. And...I been to alot of indoor gun ranges.
The Simulator, is an experience, in itself.

Cool. Yeah, I don't think they have a gun range in the Ocala one. And the nearest Bass Pro is Tampa, isn't it? Or do they have one in Orlando? I know they have one in Savannah. All are a good distance away either way. Yes, the Boss would rather shop at Bass Pro.

D$mn...you do live in the Sticks LA.:)

Of COURSE we got a Bass Pro in Orlando!!!!

But...trust me girl....You do NOT want to bring the boss down to it!!!
He will walk in there...and his eyes will glaze over...and whatever you say to him, will be completely UN heard! Trust me on this.

There is a movie theater we go to in the same "mall" the Bass Pro shop is in....
I'll say, " Hay babe, After the movie, maby we can look around in Bass Pro".
I'll let you figure out what my lady says about that!

A Very, Very Dangerous store to let a man go into....
Our Bass Pro store here in Orlando is like....75 Yards X 75 Yards..and that's just the INSIDE part of the store....it's an incredible thing to behold....

Yup, I do, and Love it. It's a GREAT pistol.
However, when I was up at Gandor Mountain, I ran into an "employee" that was packin a FNP .45.

3.5 inch barrel...and..16 rounds in the magazine..+ 1 in the chamber! .45.

Got me thinkin about my HK, with the 10 in the Mag, and 1 in the chamber. Both guns are "double/single action", and are about the same...BUT...
16 rounds in the FNP?? .45!!!
Definately a gun I would consider...for a "House Gun"...

I'd consider tradin in my HK..but Naw...I just love that gun. If 11 rounds ain't enough...well..."there ya go".

....

Oh we have been uptown now for 10 yrs since we moved from the sticks. :D

I don't mind the Bass Pro Shops or Gander Mountain. There is always something to look at. I rarely buy anything for me. What I mention to purchase, the Boss says is too expensive. Yeah, black kettle. I tell him that. But, my purchases tend to be bigger than lures and such. :D
