I am most likely wrong assuming that every large crew carries two gin arms,we usually do around here....the smaller ones are used for any transformer under a 75kva,and the larger ones are used for 75kva's and up.....now we all know that some guys will always go for the smaller arm....lets be honest,Ive seen guys fight the larger arms......its all the same process,it just weighs a little more........some of you guys may have only the large ones......I cant see why some guys let the larger arms intimidate them......its all the same when your close to the primary, just slow down a little and watch your surroundings.......anyway what is the largest transformer that you have changed out in the easement....by hand...I can remember changing out a 333kva lighter pot....possibly a 500kva....one thing for sure....those larger transformers put a strain on a generator if that happens to be what you use.
