What kind of flashlight do you prefer,do you wear one of those hardhat flashlights, good idea, but mine never lasted, and I just didnt ever care for them.....I always liked a maglite,it was just my style, carried it up on poles in my rubber glove bag, took it into apartment complexes, came in handy, never had to hit anyone with it........but thought about it a few times.....lots of guys like the big handhelds, the ones that you can sit on the ground, the re-charge types......looked at a police forum and they had all types, the stinger, scorpions, streamlight, pelican, and the maglite.....so what do you prefer at night? and do you have a back-up in case one fails?........I know T-man has more than one.

I used to hold my maglite on my shoulder, inbetween my neck, even when hanging a barrel.... the guys never understood how I was comfy doing it that way,but it didnt take long to get used to......where did you buy the streamlite?.........10 yrs for a flashlight is pretty good in my book,,,,,i bet it cost a pretty penny, you mind me asking what they are selling for? Some can be expensive.........I was and still am hard on many tools,ect...........slicker-suits never last me long, those lights on hard hats wont last with me,,,,,went through dozens of wrist watches......urd/mud usually sent me back to buy another watch.........I just never had luck with other flashlights.........too many have failed when I really needed them.

We use the streamlight box lights that are rechargable and have dang good service life out of them. For our hard hats we have the streamlight LED lights with the rubber strap and they work great as well. We usually can get an entire night out of a set of batteries (3 aaa) on the hardhat lights. We have also mounted "Go-lites" on our headache racks of bucket trucks and the hand operated spot lights like police cars use.
