It's starting to look like factory work around there Bren. You fellas do nice work, just like a production line. Atleast you have the great outdoors to work under and not some dark dusty old factory, for punching out pre-made pole sets.
How many of those are you able to set a day with the Heli? All the holes drilled in the ground already?

We don't pre dig the holes.... To much cattle and sheep about. "They commit suicide by falling in the hole"
The helicopter just drops them out to peg for us. It would take months to drag the poles up the mountains. He will drop all these poles out in a day or maybe a day and a half..
We dread the helicopter day...... The yard is at the base of the mountain so he can pick one up and drop it in 90 secounds. SO ! You've 90 secounds to get from one peg to the other. Across some very rough terrain. We spread out on the mountain and try and drop the poles so that the guys are working down hill ( but not always possible.... )
You know you've done a days work after scrambling over a montain trying to keep up.
After we set the poles stays etc. Then we use the helicopter again to string the copper.where he can. .

Hey bren how do you get your rods & blocks out to pole position? Do you track them in wit da machine or do you fly them out 2? We used to build them up( rod through block) put lock nut back on, then put thread through half moon hole and lock the barrel on, then just lash da block & rod to the pole, much like you do wit your polys:D
