Lets say you have been sent to a job and it requires picking up two spans of open wire secondary and changing out a transformer in the easement,do you usually have your tailboard on the street or do you go into a backyard and hold it there? How many of you have never actually given one? And at the end what is one of the last things that should be mentioned?

Definitely give where the work is to be preformed.Check for hidden dangers ya know like transformer not grounded to spec, rotten poles,ya dropping the wire on an outage or doing as much as you can without having the lights off, any guying need done. The most Important question now.............Does anyone have any questions or any other ideas they would like to share......stick to the plan and if something changes well at least stop and regroup to discuss the changes.Great Question......were all learning....Besides its an OSHA requirement a tailboad to be done. When ya do it not if,ya may as well do it right.Any questions?A.......

Everone needs to know what their job is. If the line is to be worked dead, who will de-energize the line? Install the grounds? If it's to be worked hot where is it fed from? Who has the one-shot? This may seem ridiculous to some but communication cuts down on the things that some people say can't or won't ever happen, but do.
