Every once in awhile they used to refresh the guys on different topics/techniques on different task.Just wondering if anyone has seen anything go wrong when they ground one sec.phase of a 480 volt bank?

Never seen anything go wrong but have seen a lot of people who said that there was no way they were gonna close it in.

We all had to do it,but your right ,theres always people that back away....I was asking cause there appears no shortage of mistakes now days....people that demonstrate can also become relaxed and forget what they are doing.

We had a meat packing plant on our system with a grounded 480 V delta and lost count of the number of times we had to explain to electricians that as long as you measure 480 phase to phase on all combinations the bank is right and your phase to ground measurements don't mean anything.
