Any Elvis fans? I was 17 when he passed away, didnt really pay much attention at the time, but did see his movies on tv.Later I appreciated his talent and music, even to this day....what an American Icon....how many recent people that passed away will be remembered 35 years from now....the guy was extremely talented...and blessed....He was born in Tupelo,Mississippi, lived in a small two room home his dad built for 180 bucks....and the rest is history...........thanks Elvis.

You make the 2nd person today to say they were 17 yrs old when Elvis died. The other person was a DJ on the radio. :D I also was 17. I remember asking my mother if she fainted when she saw him on tv or went to see him. She informed me that she wasn't an Elvis fan and she never has fainted in her life, nor did she have to see him. :D She then asked me if I feel faint when I see John Travolta. Touche`!

Actually, I think Mom liked Pat Boone.

LOL! @ T-Man. Yeah, I tease her about that sometimes. Actually, she really wasn't in to celebrities.

Mom was teasing me about Travolta reppy. I wasn't a disco fan nor a Travolta fan. I was a little bit country with a good bit of rock 'n roll! A cross between Cash and AC/DC. Heh.

The only guy I was ever goo goo gah gah over was Eastwood. I was 12/13 yrs old in a poncho carrying a cap steel gun immitating him. You have to remember I was also reading Louis L'amour paperbacks at that time too. And telling my mother why I was born a gurl. :D

I'm still not into celebrities. I think they have their own set problems and glad it's not me!
