Now what we gonna do ?
They've decided to do a completely new risk assessment and write a whole new safety procedure
Regarding using helicopters.... Just coz ours was nearly wiped out by a low flying raf jet... Came back to Scotland last night... And when I got to work this morning was informed " no more helicopter for the foreseeable future....
We've still 60 odd poles to get up a mountain... Horrendous accesses.. No roads near the line... If we are to get the poles in we will have to strip them down and the digger will have to make long long trips into the pegs. Could take a day or more to get each one In ....
Looks like its gonna be a long winter for us guys... And how we are gona string the wire up there is anyone's guess..
Ah well at least we've a " JOB " :D
I wonder how long before they start putting the pressure on " TO HURRY UP " ?
All as they have to do is get someone to check if the helicopter has booked the air space ( registered thier flight plan with the aviation authority ). And all systems would be go...
But as usual...... The horse is gone and they will Tripple bolt the stable door now...
Reactionary management ( never make a decision....... That way you can't make a wrong one )
