I may be able to answer this myself, but I need to see it in writing, from someone that uses it.Its just that I cant seem to picture it,and im just not sure that I want too.Its just not the way I was brought up....ok Ill ask away....are you susposed to use the bucksqueeze on 25 foot service poles also?Is there any situation that your told that it would be ok not to use it? And when performing pole top rescue, when every second counts ,does those seconds still count if you need to put on that gear?

Oklahoma Gas and Electric is transitioning to the secondary safety (bucksqueeze) to be used at all times. This transistion I am told will take place over the next 12 months.

The bucksqueeze is tuff buddy. We have to use it. You get cought with a leather safety on a
10ft pole you go home... THe pole top rescue is tuff but it can been done ! If you have a guy down with hooks still in the pole you have to use your secondery rope to tie yourself off above his feet and then move your bucksqueeze above his feet.... in other words sec's are out the door. It pays to practice you and a buddy. I could tell you better then I can type I'm sorry. I climbed with a leather safety for 14 yrs and they put this on me I had a very hard time getting use to it. The new guys that use it are pretty good !! BUT that's all they know..
