I have to post this one, just to see what kind of reaction I will get.....some years ago we had a bad urd pot in the easement/backyard....me and another lineman were teamed up with some other guys and were going to change it out. We arrived first, with the transformer,a 50 kva...we had no dolly and no backyard machine ,so we were waiting....we sat the pot on the ground and your old buddy CP-EX decides to be Mr.Atlas....he begins to roll the transformer into the backyard,,,yes you heard that right....the guy rolls the pot into the back yard all by himself....Im thinking to myself....well you dont want to know....but ....why not just wait?

ummmmmmmm use the boom n winch on the truck and make yer own dolly. Ummmmmmm find a suitable tree ,wrap the winchline round the butt and place a block on the winchline.and a sling on the pot raise the boom n tighten the winch till the pot rises n them jus walk it rite out to the place ya wanna be wif it.

I didnt mention it,but the wait was only like 15 minutes or so,till the others got there with a dolly....and no emergency that I knew of.

I wouldn't have thought that a square URD transformer would have rolled real well.

Lay some conduit on the ground and set the Tx on it. Start pushing the Tx and one conduit comes out the back move it to the front, keep doing this till you get where you need it.
If there is a street on the other side set up another truck and hook the winch lines together and do what Poot suggested. Remember where there is a will there is a way. Riggin is everything
