Here's a question for you guys. Why is the new construction on the right ( with the extra 14 inch bar ) better than the old construction on the left.. ???????????????????! .
What's the advantage ?
Both the same voltage so no difference there.

Spot on.... And Clive it is to do with wind.. When they ran them parallel the spacers were to stop them clashing in the wind.. Now they can't clash as they " miss " each other ...
And Sadly it also eliminates one of the fun jobs... Especially on twin conductors... No more spacering... :(
