Ive never thought that I would say this...but Im going to say it.Most of us older guys couldnt teach the new generation lineman certain things....like climbing....its not taught the way we learned....do they still teach look..locking and dropping....I for one,have never used any fall protection....If I were to get back in the trade....Id be the one being taught.....ok,I said what I never thought I would say.:D

If your talking about locking your leg and dropping yes they still teach it. Sad thing is the new apes starting will never free climb!

Not only climbing but hot sticking. Safety Lawyers have made it nearly impossible to use those skills here anymore. For fear of retribution if there is an event. Hard to get them to work secondary hot. Web are going the way of Mine Electric workers. They will not work anything energized.
