Pike is committed to safety
Safety is paramount in the electrical industry – and at Pike, we take our commitment to safety extremely seriously.
As a full-service EPC company, we’re mindful of the importance of safety in every aspect of our business.
To that end, our leadership team works closely with employees and customers to ensure safety. From education and training, to program audits and safety inspections, we factor safety into every project we engineer and construct.
Pike doesn’t just say we’re committed to a safety culture. We believe in it, instill it, and live by it.
Pike is participating in a campaign sponsored by OSHA and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) to promote safety.
May 3-9 2009 is North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSA) Week. This annual campaign increases awareness on the importance of preventing injuries and illnesses in the workplace. The theme this year is "Safety Means Always Coming Home." Find out more here www.asse.org/naosh09. Pike is a proud member of the OSHA Transmission & Distribution Partnership, working together to improve safety.

Uh yeah guess I missed it too:confused:
that has to be one of the dumbest things i have ever herd!! give the rats some training already or i have an idea join a union ..pike what a joke!!!
That's pretty typical of modern companies. Low grade training of cheap labour compensated for by disclaimers and a hollow safety statement cobbled together by a spin doctor.
Most company's talk a good safety game and could give a shit less what happens to us be it union or non, first energy is the union equivalent of pike they talk a good game but send untrained people out to look at downed lines that have no idea what there looking at. we have had 3 fatality's in about 18 months, and the company so committed to safety they quit supplying are FR apparel.the only reason they preach safety is it's tied to their bonuses, and how fast they can restore power (4 hr outages)everybody better be watching their own & their brothers backs because the company's sure as hell aren't going to. WORK SAFE!!!!!
So if Pike are killing so many people with their bad practices, then why aren't the company directors facing multiple manslaughter charges? Or is that yet to come.
Assuming your government safety organisation is actually doing their job.....
hey who is in charge of safety
