When used properly ampacts actually have a welding affect caused by the friction of the metals rubbing together. Unless you get the wire sizes messed up. We use ampact in line switches with no issues...
Lots in service in down town toronto. All of our trucks carry plastic fillers. Most of them are in box construction.
You definantly don`t lack the effort, hope everything works out for you. Good luck working on that storm damage. One thing is for sure, durring storms are when you`ll learn the most.

Look up every utility with in a driving distance you dont find to be far. And start emailing applications. With some luck maybe you'll be left with options at the end of it all.
