  1. Default US Dept. of Labor Apprenticeship VS. State of Maine Certified Apprenticeship

First, thank you in advance for taking my questions.

I've recently been given a job offer with Cianbro in Maine which I'm very thankful for but have some concerns/questions about the apprenticeship they offer. Unfortunately, they are not US Dept of Labor approved, but it is certified through Maine's Dept of Labor. How could this affect my career down the road to becoming a JL? As a veteran there are some benefits that I know I can use if it is a U.S. DOL approved apprenticeship and I'm thinking that I will not be able to use said benefits if it’s only state approved. Also, if anyone has information they would like to share about being a lineman at Cianbro I would appreciate that too.

Thanks, but to be honest this wasn't my question. I looked into the VA things and they only offer a crane program approved by the VA.
