We went through running the bonds today. As we were fitting the rollers on the x arms. We noticed the insulators were damaged. They were fitted a few weeks ago when the poles were erected.

SO WHAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE. ?????!

They have only been up awhile , the post insulators were perfect when erected, and there isn't even any conductor installed yet .....

We know what has caused the damage, But we were wondering if any one else has experienced the same thing ?????

I'll go for tree rats (aka squirells). Let's face it they will eat anything and if there's no cable up there then they can chew all they like.

Not hawks or birds of prey.

    But getting warmer.

We only know what did it coz we saw it happen before in Ireland ( one of our guys anyway ) .

It's causing big dramas over here. Them photos have gone right to the top.. The manufacturer is being asked questions by the head of our company, It's pretty bad when you haven't even strung the wire and ya have to go through changing 6 week old insulators.

Evidently the manufacturer doesn't allow the workers to have a lunch break and they work thru while eating thru their lunch while packing product which means that any insulators packed after lunch have peanut butter or other leftover that draw buzzards to chew on them. Tell that to the boss then sit back and listen to the conversation to the supply house
