Here in Longmont Colorado, at First Avenue and Main Street, stands a building that used to be the town Diesel Plant. It was put in service in 1931 and dismantled as a power plant in 1967. After the engines and equipment were removed the Line Gang moved in and worked out of the building up until the early 1980’s when we moved into the Service Center. The Museum took over the building as an archive. They outgrew the place and moved out. Today the old Diesel Plant is now a Cheese Importer business selling fancy imported stuff and they also have a French Café.

My question is, do any of you still have a Diesel Plant building in your area? What condition are they in? What is the building used for today? Are any of them still working as a power plant?
    Thank you for any responses.

We still have 2 Diesel generators in a power plant that we decommissioned. They are just setting there till they decide what to do to the plant.
