  1. Default Questions about live helicopter work

    For those of you that do this kind of stuff, I have a few questions:

    - How did you get into this aspect of the trade?

    - How were you trained?

    - Did you volunteer for this training, or were you picked?


    - I'm guessing you only do that type of work on days when the conditions are near perfect. Is that true?

    - What's the pay like? Is it higher than other linemen at your company?

    - What is a typical day like? What kind of tasks do you do?

    Did it for a few years here in the uk.

    we of things a bit.dirrefernt over here. We use extended ropes to drop a basket on the line.. I was asked to join the team. Money a bit better " not much" ..wind had to be below. 15 mph.
    Our lines aren't really built for live line working so we mainly did mid span damage repairs and space ring.
