    Can you tell us about this transformer.Looks to be urd primary coming up the pole into the transformer and going back urd with secondary voltage.....why not just use a padmount

    It was part of an overhead network originally . Then they have retired the over head line. Maybe this was a terminal pole " then cabled " under ground,ed ... They have left the original HV cable to feed just this transformer .
    Sometimes this is a temporary measure ..but quite often they are left like this for decades ...
    They won't change it ( unless the customer is willing to pay for it ). As far as they are concerned.....IT AINT BROKE. SO NO NEED TO FIX IT.
