A guy too young and a 60 year old that likes to talk to whores from 3rd world countries. It wasn't him probably. He probably stays off Facebook for the thumbs down.

but why would the government make a deal with the largest contractor in the country? That's collusion correct. The government is not to be partial. All the new rules will break the small contractor. Just with the fall arrest belts that is 600. The the visor and accompanying hardhat, how much? Plus the 100 dollar shirts and 100 dollar pants. And don't add the winter weather gear that no one provides but out of our pockets. Then you add the 4 d ring belts that everyone has to buy? For an FR reflective vest costs 80 bucks! This is nuts!

iits a great drive out all competition move if you really think about it!

Outfitting one lineman everyday will cost 300 dollars clothing, 300 dollars boots, five hundred dollar belt, 600 dollar safety strap, hard hat with arc visor ? Dollars, gloves and sleeves ? Dollars. Just a sweatshirt from not even America costs 200. And forget the FR bibs for cold weather, they are 120 and up to 500 insulated for cold weather.

Where re is all of this money going to come from?

from the contractor, I can't even get even a pair of leathers to build material with? If they do its that cheap pigskin that last three days!

That dude needs to go work in Alaska and wear all that stuff and see if he can do it? Forgot Par did, they didn't know to barrel the holes and ran out of grout in two months and haven't been there since. One exhale in that visor and you can't see for the rest of the day. Are they going to have arc visors outfitted with car defrosts?

This is country is too big with too many variances of weather to blanket a bunch of dumb rules. That's why there are different apprenticeships that teach different work practices for different areas. There is nothing cookie cutter about this trade. The Northwest doesn't even wear gloves, do they have to wear that dumbass visor with 8 feet of fiberglass?

    Just dumb!

LOL.... why on earth do you think Quanta bought out every body MYR did not... Henkel's has enough cash to hang in there too...The typical MOM and POP can afford the over head to produce "project specific safety plans" and get the Osha recordable under 3... and that's the minimum to bid work now days.
